  • Yes we are lucky to have nice cheap pubs that do good “pub” grub. 😊

Have had a fall at DF’s and hurt both legs ☹️ have had X-ray no break thankfully. DS & gf are here too & looking after dog. Have a swollen twisted ankle and pain down other leg not sure if twisted muscle or trapped nerve. Am hobbling a few steps only, not what I had planned for the week!

Driving foot is much recovered. Swelling gone down and back to full range of movement & strength for using brakes. Still a lovely shade of green/yellow. Had a practice run yesterday in my little automatic & got petrol. Not sure what is going on with other leg will make appointment with GP if doesn’t start to improve next week. May have torn my calf muscle or trapped sciatic nerve. Doesn’t affect my driving though.

Treated DF to local fish & chips restaurant yesterday. Not the cheapest but lovely meal, parking by the door & wanted to say thank you to him looking after me.

Glad you have recovered enough to drive, do book the Dr apt, as sometimes early intervention is required to aid recovery.

How are you feeling within yourself?

Am home now 😊 traffic not bad even M25 was moving. Right driving foot aches but not too bad. Still pain in left leg making it hard to walk ☹️

Feel very low mood but that’s not unusual after leaving DF on his own again. I know he struggles in empty house 😢

DS has just gone to walk the dog. Then he is off to work. So just me & the dog this evening. I am going to get a takeaway. My fave kebab house has reopened after burning down and sent me a 15% off code. 😃

Then make sure you contact the Dr on Monday, just even for reassurance.

It must be hard for you leaving your dad, but you can plan your next trip. One day you may be living closer.

You, puppy dog and a take-away from the phoenix is just what you need on a Saturday x

I am glad you arrived home safely well done on driving with the bruises and pain. I understand the low mood, it is horrible that your dad is there and you are not but keep ringing him whenever you can and MF is right, start planning the next trip mentally. The tip to ring the dr for a quick look at your bruises is a good idea just to find out about the nerve /muscle. It sounds really painful.

Tonight you put your feet up and enjoy the takeaway. Watch some nice tv or listen to nice music take it easy for the next two days. Sod the washing etc. Rest and chill.

No pain when driving, it’s just walking that’s the problem 😆

I have some strong back pain pills at home so I took 2 last night and had a good sleep. Just simple things like standing up I’ve had to push up with my arms & turning over in bed I forget & push with my feet 😵

Sunny here but no plans to do much today. Must check online banking & savings & credit card. I put petrol & spending whilst away (not as much as expected!) on my card so I will move funds around to cover the bill from entertainment fund & council tax free money.  Will get new council tax bill this month, Hope it doesn’t go up much.
