Meeting a friend for a cheap lunch on Wednesday and will give her some of the decent stuff for her friends dog charity to sell in their shop.

I cant believe how much you have done today. I used to have those over trouser thingy's when I had my old job as I used to walk but they were so fiddly. Thermals/legwarmers sound like a good idea when walking.
It has just stopped raining by me and I need to get some bread. I don't know if I want to go out. It is still v windy.

My doggie passed away years ago when I lived with my parents and he had so much hair. lol.
Aiming for a minimal spend 2022
  • Have been out in the sun walking the dog this afternoon. Work clothes washed & line dried and it’s still sunny and windy so I washed dog towels & hung them out at 4pm.
The Cajun flavoured pork steak turned out be a Cajun chicken breast 😆 must remember to label stuff before putting it in the freezer! Have just had it tray baked with courgette & pepper & onion and a jacket potato & garlic mayo 😋
All the stuff for the tip has been put into the 2 suitcases ready to load into my car later tonight.

  • SYA, nothing wrong with a bit of freezer pot luck!

I purchased an upright freezer last year, I now have a dedicated shelf for each type of meat I buy.

    Can’t sleep ☹️

Cleaned out my car this afternoon, hoovered out dog hairs & checked tyre pressure with compressor DF bought me for Xmas. Just got finished and then it rained!

DS gf walked the dog in the forest. She was filthy when they got back so we hosed her off in the garden & gave her a shampooing ☺️ Tonight we have noticed a cut on one of her paws. It’s not deep & she is not limping or licking it or showing any pain bless her. DS is going to phone the vets in the morning. Typical just before we go up north.

Depending on what time the appointment is I may have to cancel my lunch out. Will just rearrange for when we get back.

I need to get petrol tomorrow using this months council tax free money for petrol there and back. I will have dog rug, dog pen, dog bed & my bag. DS & gf & dog will come up in DS’s car with the dog in the “boot” (he has one of those dog guards) & their bags in the back seat & dog food & bag of dog towels. Hopefully have thought of everything, I think that’s what is keeping me awake. Will be up at 5am for work so am going to try and get some sleep 😴

Just noticed date & time now showing on posts on my mobile

  • Glad puppy dog is ok.

You tell us about these cheap meals, but never say what's on the plate! Come on, make us jealous

Whereabouts up north you going? Depending on how far up, I may be as to say whether there is snow or not.

I hope you have a good trip and we'll earned break.

  • Have arrived. No snow. 😊
We tend to eat in pubs belonging to big chains that do meals 2 for £9.99 or weetherspoons. We were in local pub yesterday I had steak & chips, onion rings & peas. My friend is veggie and had butternut squash & chickpea curry & rice & popadom.

Have a good week everyone if I don’t get time to post again x
