  • Morning Skint yet Again. Glad you had a good time yesterday, even if it cost a bit more.

  • Thanks bln, it's not the cost so much as paying for other peoples drinks that annoyed me. But in the words of the song ......

  • I dislike the splitting at the end too. Sometimes it's more convenient if there's a lot of you and it will take too long but I'd rather we decide at the beginning. If I know we're splitting equally then I'll buy myself an extra drink if everyone else is but if we decide to pay for our own then I prefer to be more careful with my money. Glad you had a good time though

Im in agreement with everyone else. I completely empathise with how you feel.

It was ok to pay for the others when I was rich but now I am poor I would be v upset. Remember the saga last year when one of my friends had a money off voucher but she could only use it if I spent £75 and I had to. Luckily Steve and Andy helped me out when they got paid. But she didn't understand that I had no spare money for non essentials like meals out and I think it made me think really hard about our friendship which has since cooled off (but this was only one of the reasons why).

I hope you did manage to enjoy yourself with the rest of the time with friends though. The whole Gin experience sounds great.

Had a lovely dog walk on Sunday it was warm and sunny. Had to take off my scarf & gloves & undo my coat ! Picked up my car on the way back. One load washing done & line dried. Spent a few hours snoozing then took dog to park whilst it was still warm so she could chase her ball. Hoovered dog room. NSD.

Went to the range on Monday afternoon with a friend to look at their Xmas decs. Didn't buy anything.

Today I called at coop on way home for milk & carrots for the dog. They had garlic & herb spatchcock chicken RTC half price down from £6 to £3, slow roast beef in red wine and sausage & mash meal both half price. I put the meals in the freezer and the chicken is now roasting in the oven it smells delish :p

I walked the dog earlier just after the rain stopped. It's freezing today brrr !!

Yum to lovely food. A roast and sausage and mash are just what you need in this rainy weather. Have a good day tomorrow.

  • I'm very impressed that you managed to go to the Range and not buy anything! We don't have a Range or B&M near us but, my word, do I make up for it when I do go

It's so cold all of a sudden isn't it? I booked today off work to spend time on my PhD and despite being wrapped up super warm, I still had icles for fingers when my husband got home as gloves and laptops don't mix!

The food yellow sticker bargains sound delish - hope you enjoyed your chicken!

Chicken was lovely. Enough for 3 more meals put in the freezer.

Had a bit of a melt down at work today. Am so fed up of carrying others and being left with all the carp jobs

Decided I needed to get out to save my sanity and my anxiety was getting out of hand so I took 1 1/2 hours holiday and left early. Went to b&m nearby and just strolled around to calm down. Bought 6 bags curry noodles 29p each, new tea towels £2.99, garlic sauce £1, 6 pack crisps £1 and pack rocky biscuits 69p. So not too costly retail therapy :D

Once I felt better I drove to the garage and got £10 petrol. Spent 50p on air for tyres. Then went home and hoovered the car boot to remove dog hair & topped up screen wash. MOT is tomorrow. Fingers crossed it passes.

Took puppy dog to the park so she could play with her ball and so I could get some much needed fresh air. Had sausage, mash& peas from the freezer for dinner and managed to resist a takeaway :p

  • Better day at work today as lots of people are part time it was fairly quiet and I managed to sort out the 8 cases left from Thursday & a few new ones. Bought a naughty bacon roll & choc bar £3.20 :o

After work I took my car for it's MOT and it passed :T :j
Cost £48 paid from car fund savings. Then took the dog on the common for an hour. DS has gone to work & his gf is due home from work soon. I am going out with a friend tomorrow, they both have a day off so they will walk the dog.

Just trying to decide what to have for dinner. Maybe BBQ ribs & homemade potato wedges & sweetcorn.
