    Exactly.
Precisely my point ... and that is why landowners will never get the mutually beneficial service they really need from these PPCs that @bemac indicates they want and need.

You will have a long time to wait.

Maybe an email to Marcus Jones MP, DCLG, not that he will be interested, he allows the scam to continue and he also knows that there is no such thing as a "reasonable, fair and honest" parking company

@bemac, I don't think anyone here disagrees that in some cases there is a need for legitimate parking controls. However there are three elements to this, it has to be reasonable, controlled and have proper safeguards against abuse.

I can't speak for your scenario but in my experience where these companies work on Residential Parking sites, simply speaking their behaviour is unacceptable. There is documented evidence where even after they give a PCN to a resident in his/her own allocated bay and that resident identifies themselves as such they still refuse to be reasonable quoting T&C's on the sign and rejecting any correspondence. The average Joe buys this claptrap, pays and is naturally infuriated as it is unfair.

If these companies played fair it would be a different story, but they don't. In these instances they are clearly not out to help the residents at all.

If anyone knows of a real genuine, fair and reputable Residential Parking company I would love to hear about them and if they are genuine I might even put them forward as a replacement.
The only way to get a better job done would be to hire a person to manage it and not gain from any tickets issued. Either that or have controlled gates, in and out, with key access.
They don't seem to have any troubles at the likes of Heathrow where they have anpr connected to the ticket issued on entry and anpr opening the exit when you get there after paying.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

'Our parking tickets and signs have no reference to yourself, all correspondence are designed to make the motorist believe they have been caught by a CPM Patrol Warden.'

There you have it a con and a fraud admitted by the man himself.

Photographs to be used in evidence in a court of law should have to be taken by a camera that is accurately calibrated for the time and date. Yes we know that some PPC's have been known to fiddle the date/time stamp on their photos. Could there be a situation where these 'amateur' snappers are called as a witness in a court case where dates or times of images are called into question by a defendant. They would surely have to provide evidence of the accuracy of the cameras they use.

Indeed, sounds a total shambles to me and one designed to escalate the amount of speculative claims sent out in the hope they stupidly get paid.

Very sad state of affairs ...

It's the Daily Mail. Who knows exactly what truth, if any, lies behind the headline.

To be fair though, it is not much different to many other "self-ticketing" systems that are in place, but also shows how lax the PPC are in compliance with their Code of Practices and KADOE contracts.

Well to be fair it was in the Daily Mirror as well ...

The Mail even quoted what was said to the Mirror journalist.

The implication that there is little truth in Daily Mail articles on parking is unfair and lacks concrete evidence. In fact, the Mail is probably the national newspaper that has consistently been anti-PPCs.
