someone parks a car in my driveway without my permission.

    Is it a crime?

    Quite astonishing.

Does this apply to all victims of crime?

if a stupid person goes out of his house and leaves his doors open , then is burgled , would you have sympathy or say they were stupid for not taking steps to protect their property.

a lot of tickets are issued for parking on supermarkets etc when they are closed , (going to cinema etc)

a: what harm is it doing the landowner

b: why not just fit a gate and close it when you close ?

c: did you realy want those travellers there?

  • Altarf just does not get it ,when a PPC is brought in , they do not stop parking , they just issue tickets , the landowner does not gain (his land back) only the PPC profits

I know of a retail park, where once there was no PPC, just some gates at both entrances/exits these were locked and closed after hours ( with signs stating gate shut at X and opened at Y) there were no major issues with parking to the best of my knowledge.
Now the same retail park has a PPC, they have removed the gates and replaced them with cameras on a stick, the site is now plagued by boy races at night and is now a hub of anti social behaviour, i suppose thats parking management, is it?

What Altarf doesn't get is that ppc's want as many people as possible to break the rules, that's the most lucrative outcome!

Well I for one think that this is a genius plan from UKCPM - basically "let's create an utterly outrageous, unregulated and unenforceable parking scam in order to deflect attention from our existing slightly less outrageous, unregulated and unenforceable parking scam"
