Jumping on for a quick update, although the day hasn't exactly gone to plan. Never mind, the best bit is that it comes around again next week! It's taken me quite a time to get that into my head...
Marmalade made and in jars, thanks to DH getting the sugar yesterday :A. Kitchen tidied yet again, stickiness cleared, floor swept and toaster crumbs emptied.
Dusted and vacuumed bedroom and the spare oom, not sure who put the spider and the cobweb in the bathroom, but they have gone now. Whizzed the vacuum around the downstairs. Food shopping done, and took a friend's puppy for a walk :T.
DD hopefully will be back at school tomorrow, but won't be coming volunteering with me later. Oh yes, and did I mention that I finished my book0 -
Home from work and a big list to get done - both at home and at work. But I'm home now so work will have to wait. Barely done the very basics so far this week so next jobs are WM, DW and fill the car with windscreen fluid. Can't think beyond the basics until these are done!0

Afternoon all. No flying done here as still living in chaos and trying to keep up with the paid stuff, so I've avoided posting. Also didn't want to bring the thread down with my moaning - I've been doing that in my diary thread - but I know I get good support from you flyladies so I just want to say b*gg*r off cancer (not me).Spend less now, work less later.0

Afternoon all
Sorry I've been AWOL again. Had a busy busy day: did VAT return and remembered to reclaim for big expenses I had omitted from the last return, so it makes a nice change that this quarter the taxman owes us money as opposed to the other way round :j
Helped a friend out with some childcare today, it was no problem as her son was good as gold. As you know Wednesday is my paid stuff day but he was so good I managed to get everything done whilst he played nicely with his paw patrol toys.
Have S&S kitchen and bathroom, and keeping up with laundry. Keeping a close eye on financials this month, so doing lots of batch cooking too.
Big hugs and spoons to all in need - I'm thinking of you all even when I'm not posting xxMFW

Hello, I am another who is having a very tight month. The holiday balance has to be paid by 11th March. I want to pay with cash rather then credit card so all luxuries are off the radar until then. I have told DD there is no point asking for anything till it's paid. So have sat and meal planned for this month ,also done basics on lists.
I am keeping fingers crossed my replacement vacuum cleaner comes tomorrow .

Bear in mind paying ŵith CC gives you extra protection.

I agree with Valli, you can pay using cc then paid that off in full at the next statement so no costs are incurred

Hi
Bit of an awful day. Someone at work asked me how BIL is (he has cancer) and it just completely floored me. I havent talked to anyone outside the immediate family about it because I cant find the words and I just know I will cry. I need to get to grips with this because word is getting around that he is ill. The kindness of this person just left me with this awful feeling of sadness and sent my anxiety through the roof.
Forced myself to carry on with my normal routine. Full day at the paid stuff tomorrow. House is reasonably OK, I am keeping on top of the basics. Off to get my jim jams on and put my feet up.0 -
So sorry you're struggling Yorkshirelass
I do hope you're better able to talk to people soon. Hugs.
I've made some tangible progress on the dress between lurking this evening; feeling a bit calmer now I've finished off something at work, so I think I can leave early the next couple of days. Signing off now for a cup of camomile tea and more sewing! Night all, and thank you for the support.0
