Hi everyone:wave:,
I have decluttered and cleaned the living room this evening as we're having a new fireplace fitted tomorrow. Got rid of lots of bits and bobs so there's no clutter in there at all now which feels good.
Also gave the kitchen a good clean and sorted my fridge out. I will give the cupboard doors and the floor a deep clean tomorrow. I still want to sort all of my cupboards out too.
I'm back to work tomorrow but only 2.5 weeks until my Maternity Leave starts. I'm starting to really feel it now and can see myself slowing down so I'm counting down the days.0 -
Better out than in Iona Glad he's feeling better, and that you made it to college.
I got on a roll last night as DH wasn't home by 2200. Kitchen surfaces scrubbed, washing put away, hung, WM on. DW on.
Will continue today.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Was up early and hunting out my guag as am determined to crack on with some of the lists today. Then DD said she felt poorly so isn't going to school....change of plans now. I have to stop myself from just slowing down completely. Bed changed, WM on, DW emptied from yesterday evening, DD music lesson cancelled.....off to kick myself into action.
Glad to hear Mr Iona feeling better after yesterday.
See you later.0 -
YORKSHIRELASS wrote: »Hi all just checking in. Rosemary hugs. Assuming that dress HAS to be finished can you put your worries aside, take a big deep breath and tackle it head on? Sometimes I fret and worry about things when actually getting on with it makes me feel better. If you are really struggling maybe say I will do an hour or two hours and then have a break. Let us know how it's going x
Thanks Yorkshirelass - I have to finish it because I've put on too much weight to wear any of my other suitable dresses to this wedding (also not entirely sure this will fit, helpfully, but it's bigger than any of the others! And stretchy.). It's not the dress I'm worrying about so much as the fact that the happy couple and I have spent a lot of time upsetting each other and getting stressed over the wedding instead of being happy about it - finally managed to break out of the cycle and move forward a little bit constructively on Thursday, but I'm still waiting to hear whether my friend's fianc! will relent enough to let me take part in the ceremony. They're getting married a week on Saturday and haven't asked anyone to do readings or play the hymns yet  if he doesn't I'm going to really struggle to go and look happy, knowing he's still holding so much against me
I have a question about today's list... I only have 1 bedroom. Should I tackle that today or will the main bedroom come around later in the week? The only spare "room" I have is the little room/large cupboard (no windows) where my sewing machine lives. No bed in there, but lots of junk...
I'm going to try and do 15 minutes sewing before I go to work while my breakfast reheats.0 -
Morning all
Hugs good wishes positive vibes sticks and spoons where needed.
Busy again all day today so will have to catch up later.
Been offered an extra day at work - really pleased about that.
Ds2 had a 25%off voucher for where he works that ran out yesterday so we went out for a meal with the lads last night which was really nice, andquite mse as voucher was off total price including drinks so meal for 4 with starters and drinks for £40.
Need to get a move on as I want to get in early to prep some stuff and get last months overtime sheet handed in.
Have a lovely day all, with I hope something in to raise a smile,
Rosemary hugs to you I hope things can be sorted out and the wedding will be a lovely occasion for all.SPC~12 ot 124

Rosemary - I think you should take today as a sewing day. It's likely that the master bedroom will come up in the next day or two, but even if it didn't, you have a deadline. Getting the dress out of the way will help - and then have a think about what you might be able to do to smooth things over with your friend and her OH.0

Thanks greenbee and mrs-moneypenny. You're probably right about doing just sewing today. Wish I didn't have to work! I've been trying to fix things for months, but my friend (they're both men btw) hasn't been in a place to talk to me. Done a little bit of sewing; off to work now.0 -
