Well, I've started unearthing the kitchen sides... I'm back to being worried/upset :( I have about a week to finish this dress, but I can't bear to look at it even because it's all caught up in why I'm so upset. Ugh. I can't do anything about it; I have to live with some things and wait for others to make decisions about other things. In the meantime I'm not so keen on doing anything that gives my mind a chance to wander, like flying...

heebie-jeebies - do you dry off the metal sides? Sorry if you do this, it's just the thing that comes to mind immediately from working in places with metal counter tops.

Had a fabulous sight while working on the computer this afternoon; 11 - yes 11- fairies came to the feeders right outside my computer. I've never seen so many and they flitted backwards and forwards for nearly an hour. Great for my concentration!

Narco what are fairies? I have been wondering since I saw you posting about them a few weeks ago? I only get robins, blackbirds, sparrows, starlings, blue tits, collared doves and wood pigeons :D

Ok tomorrow I really need to start flying... The past two days since I have finished t erapy all I've done is lay on the sofa and watch tv... Although I must admit it did feel odd today as I'm normally up and out by 8.30am, and today I was up and downstairs on the sofa in pj's :D The animals thought it was a bit odd too, although pup didn't complain..he snuggled down on the sofa with me while I watched carpe t.v. I even cried over Memphis Belle this afternoon..lol

So guys can you all give me a kick in the morning...I'll try and get up same time and get showered before I come down.. :D

  • Hi all just checking in. Rosemary hugs. Assuming that dress HAS to be finished can you put your worries aside, take a big deep breath and tackle it head on? Sometimes I fret and worry about things when actually getting on with it makes me feel better. If you are really struggling maybe say I will do an hour or two hours and then have a break. Let us know how it's going x

Typical day here. Up early, bathroom swished, washing sorted, office tidied, paid stuff 1, paid stuff 2, home to make chicken pie, gym class, more work on paid stuff, kitchen tidied, clean washing put away, little bit of telly and bed. At least the basics are done.

Long tailed tits, as per my avatar. Now ignoring the fact that my windows need cleaning (birds flicking seeds over them), how many tails can you count in this picture? Huh, the link keeps breaking - oh well if you look up Narc0lepsy in Photobucket there will be a folder called fairies and it is in there. I can usually post links.... Lovely things. The feeders are about 2ft away as my computer is by the window - distracting or what?
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Evening all and a warm welcome to all the new peoples :hello:

Hope all sorted with the hospital Iona and your DH managed to enjoy some of his birthday

Been a bit difficult to get on with things this week. Last week my hot water stopped being hot, except if I put the boost on, so phoned to get sparky out and he came Thursday. Decided it wasn't a problem with leccy but the immersion - this needs a plumber, but he did disconnect it ready for plumber.

Plumber came yesterday afternoon to fit new one. Long story short - two hours later also had new ballcock in top feeder tank, no hot water (as he had to completely drain/refill the tank) and now no time to get sparky back to connect back up. The leccies came this afternoon, fitted it all back and now have to wait to see if it comes on and heats up overnight tonight.

Big problem was that the tank is in a cupboard in the hall in the centre of the apartment. The hall is long and narrow and with the door of the cupboard open it's a tight squeeze to get past. Just hoping it's now all fixed fingers xd.

Thanks for all good wishes for my DH. He did go to hospital for his procedure (and now I'll hide some text that the queasy might prefer not to see). They drained one litre of fluid off his right lung - the other will be done at a later date. He is already feeling much better, was discharged at 5 pm, we gt home at 5.30 and I just had time to cook us a meal and dash out to college. Really glad I could go, as the new module is very interesting with a great lecturer who used to work in sewerage :rotfl:

I will be concentrating on my assignment for the next couple of days, but will do at least the dailies and hopefully a bit more.

    See you tomorrow x
