    Hi again.

    I called sky. They said my subscription price wouldn't be changing. But because the call prices were changing I could cancel without the disconnection penalty.

    Just had a look around and I found this deal with BT;
    £24.99 / month for 12 months + £9.99 router fee
    -£100 MasterCard promotion
    -£100 top cash back

    = approx £9.15 per month
    Factor in the cease charge of about £35 that BT and Plusnet both now charge if you go to an LLU company on leaving them. Originally a cease charge was just for those who didn't migrate

    Just a quick reminder, but the Infinity 1 Plan at BT you have highlighted for ASDL2 is for 'UNLIMITED' BB and not 'limited', hence its a reasonable deal, although if you add Unlimited Call, cost goes up by £8 quid per month if memory serves me correct, or, the cost of line rental prior to the latest price increases, which ain't bad if you don't have a mobile phone!

    Just to clarify things - BT Infinity 1 Unlimited is a super fast fibre package offering speeds of 'up to' 52Mbps.

    Thanks for the update, also worth pointing out that Cash Back for regular 17mb BB has dropped to £70 on TopCashBack and MasterCard cutback now down to £50, its £110 on Quidco and checking HotDealsUK to see if anything else has changed.

    VisionMan,

    Just done a slide rule calculation on the BT Infinity 1 offer to see where it stands with what my folks are paying with Sky presently for their phone and ASDL2 17mb service, based on all cash back offers, it works out at £17 per month for basic BT package - inclusive of all fees. Add unlimited calls to the mix and its £25.50 per month, which is £8 per month more expensive than folks paying with Sky, obviously its fibre, so BT cost is good for 12 months given my sister is paying £25 a month with EE. Regrettably, my folks have no need for Fibre, but if can get a deal like this come late January next year, makes sense to move to fibre - actual monthly fees are a rip off though, however, compared to what I'm paying in Hong Kong for a crap 3mb service, the UK is bloody cheap!!!!

    If I took a contract out last october where line rental was 17.40 and bb was free doesn't this mean I can leave at any time without penalty .ow that they have increased prices ?
