Hi. Welcome and thankyou.
Still a loooooong way to go but [STRIKE]moving[/STRIKE] crawling in the right direction. My diary gets quite boring at times but feel free to tag along.

Just checked our account to see the £150 from BC has indeed been paid in :j
What a nice, unexpected bonus.
Have just moved it across into a savings account and will try to forget about it until I find something good to do with it rather than dwindle it away. May treat ourselves to a night at the cinema at the weekend. The tickets are only £4 each. Last of the big spenders eh :rotfl:
I know it's not a fortune but it's £150 we never had

Hi diary world
Christmas is upon us again : Friends at work have their trees up. NOOOO it's too early.
I still have Christmas shopping to do but cannot get motivated. I have a budget and will be sticking to it like glue. I already have my savings started for next year. I add regularly to one of my savings accounts and it soon builds up without me realising really.
Payday tomorrow and my standing orders are showing as paid already. Maybe the bank thinks I can be trusted with money again and paid them early :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Have organised my saving pots ready for the morning and will be transferring money around once all DDs have been paid
Having a chill out evening tonight as I am too tired and too lazy to do anything else
MEmptying my lake with a teaspoon0 -
Phew
Payday today
All monies jiggled around constantly until I was happy. Sad aren't I :rotfl:
Grocery shopping done, bills paid, savings pots sorted, bank account checked, checked and checked again. Just to be sure lol
May attempt to go Christmas shopping tomorrow. Emphasis on the word may. I'm usually always up and out early but let's see if I am motivated enough to hit the shops.
I do most of it online but wanted to go to the market to get my last few bits. Cards and wrapping etc.
Now just chilling and looking forward to the weekend. No work :j
Hope everyone is well

I survived
Christmas shopping done AND wrapped  Go me !! And I was back home by 11.30. That’s suits me just fine. I can’t cope when the shops are packed, car park full, queues like a snake round the shop  I know what shop I need and I’m in and out. I run around like OUT OF MY WAY IM COMING THROUGH !!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Just a couple of bits to get but they will be bought online. All done again with no CCs. I have a sealed pot that I add to and am in the sealed pot challenge on another thread. It helps massively. Thankyou Sue_UU for running it every year
Off out for dinner today so no cooking. We have a family gathering for a birthday and I’ve been putting a little aside each week for it so we were prepared. :money:
Overall a nice weekend which makes a change from the sitting in front of the TV eating and moaning about what rubbish to watch.

Morning diary world on this very wet, chilly one too.
I have been ordering the last few of my Christmas presents online with discount codes I might add :money: and have been ticking them off of my list as I go. This stops me buying things unnecessarily. I like the fact that I'm so organised and I'm waiting for something to go wrong as it feels strange that I'm more or less sorted in November
We have DD and SIL coming to stay at the beginning of December as they are having Christmas with the in-laws this year. We had them last year so must play fair
My plan is to have all Christmas sorted food aswell before my December payday so I won't be dipping in it and ruining my budgets. The last couple of presents are just gift cards so very easy to do and no hustling and bustling in the shops.
When I think back I would've been Christmas shopping with CCs at the ready and the only issue I had was which CC to use  oh I like that I'll buy that. Oh and I'll have one of those and two of those. Oh we need this and that. What an idiot but a huuuuge lesson learned I can tell you.
Saving for Christmas all the way from now on. I don't feel guilty when I buy any presents now. Shame I never saw the light 6 odd years ago
Anyway on a more positive note I will be putting my tree up next weekend. I want it up before our visitors come as we will be having a mini pre Christmas Day :xmastree:
Have a good day all and wrap up warm it's a tad chilly out there
Oh I just realised this is my 2300th post. What on earth have I been going on about 2300 times :rotfl:

Again time has flown since I last posted.
I am all sorted for Christmas
:xmastree:
We had visitors all weekend and it was lovely. We had a mini Christmas and lots of fun. House was very busy and noisy but made a lovely change. Budget is still intact too (phew). They have left now and I've put the house back together. Shattered but happy
Tree up and twinkling away, Presents bought and wrapped, food sorted too and all before my December pay day :T. Don't you just love it when a plan comes together. hehe
Just need to get through the next 2 weeks at work and then it's Christmas again in the Motivated household. A quiet one this time so a bonus there.
Actually looking forward to the new year as I plan to pay off as much as I can and see how well I/we can do.
Hope you are all well and organised for Christmas too as it's fast approaching

I'm very impressed, motivated! (I am only half way there with Christmas...) Brilliant that your budget has survived too. :T:T:TI think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Thanks cherry
It took some self discipline I must say. I wrote a list and ordered most of it online so it was easier to avoid temptation.
I hope you manage to get yours sorted as stress free as possible too.
