    Well done, that's great news!

    Thanks debtaghh

Who would've thought that a small thing would give me such a boost. I've just worked out that it was 15 months ago that we made our very first payment on our DMP journey and we've so far paid off the grand total of £6488.09 it seems such a small amount compared to the overall total.

If we hadn't got our heads out of our ar§es and did something about it I can assure you we wouldve added over £6000 to the debt easily. That I do know. We would've had another holiday etc all on CCs. That said by Xmas we plan to have paid another £2500 off the debt.

Off to plan another short term target :T

    Morning all

We have rain :D. What a nice relief from the hot, muggy sleepless nights. Now I feel chilly. Mind you I've changed the beds this morning and can't hang my washing out now :rotfl: Not one of my better ideas.

Debt wise, nothing exciting happening here and can't believe we're in August already again. Payday for me Wednesday so I will be lowering the total a little more. Looking forward to bringing down it to 75k something  If I say it quickly it doesn't hurt so much.

Discussed Christmas with family and explained that we will not be buying much this year as they are all grown now and apart from one mum (that's all we have left now) :( I have told the kids they will get x amount of money and to tell me what they want. Gone are the days where we hit the CCs and thought nothing of it

Talking about Xmas in August :rotfl: I'm in debt and on a DMP in case I hadn't mentioned it and need to plan ahead :rotfl:

Morning diary world. I've just realised how long it's been since I wrote on here  Time flies when your having fun eh

I've got my :( head on at the moment and I can see no reason for it only that I've been beating myself (again) up for being in this rickety old boat. Constantly thing about bills, money, debts, creditors, counting money, trying to save money ........ you get the drift.

I've lost my mojo and quickly need to find it again. I will spend time today catching up on diaries and hopefully get some inspiration from them.

I suppose I'm trying to run before I can walk again and must stop this. Reminding myself where I was at around 18 months ago helps a little. A complete wreck back then and I know I've turned a huge corner but.....

I need a big kick up the backside. Feel free to offer one lol and feel free to ignore my negative ramblings :p

:D. Thanks for the reminder debtaghhhh. Maybe I should practice what I preach :rotfl:

You are right I'm just having an off time and need to snap out of it.

I've had a relaxing day and still sticking to my healthy eating so a bonus there. Had a shower already and now I have the TV to myself for the evening. Just going to chill and catch up on diaries.

Thanks again debtaghhh we CAN do this :)

Hi diary world. I'm back after being unable to log in and post properly for a while. My laptop has been playing up but is mended now. I thought for a while I'd been deleted :rotfl:

I've been reading diaries etc and see people are doing well on the debt front :T

Today we received 2 letters from BC saying they will be refunding £12 and a £75 back on to our CCs as apparently they haven't been treating their customers fairly if you are in arrears or anything.

AND they are paying us £75 each back to our bank account for any stress caused  To be honest they have been very accommodating with us right from the start so a little confused there but I won't be turning my nose up to £150 in the bank :D

Other than that we're still plodding along and still in huge debt but heading in the right direction at least.

Also I just had a phone call from the financial ombudsman regarding a PPI complaint I put in months ago. Apparently my complaint was sent to the wrong CC company and has now been sent to the correct one. I don't hold out much hope to be honest but at least there's a chance I could get a few pennies back.

Anyone else wanna send some money my way today :rotfl:

Morning all on this chilly day. Wow it's freezing out there.

Grocery shopping all done nice and early. I can't cope when the shops are so busy. I'm in and out before the rest of the world gets up and out :)

I don't have to go out any more today so that a nice feeling. Housework to do then relaxing and catch up on here. I seem to have missed so much when I couldn't get on here. Going to use my time wisely today and see if I can pick up some much needed debt busting tips.

My DD text me to say she has seen on FB that some place have snow

Been playing around with numbers again lol. Just set up a standing order from our main account to one of our savings accounts. £12.50 a week. DH gets paid weekly so it's easier for us to do it this way. If a SO goes straight out of the account when he gets paid we tend not to miss it so much. Sad I know but it works for us lol

That will amount to £50 per month and £600 per year :)

Little things like this is what keeps me motivated as I can see the funds building up slowly.

Little things please little minds eh lol
