Hi all, another night of broken sleep, sweating buckets and melting.

Anyway I have paid my weekly bills as I call them. Our virgin package I pay weekly so we don't end up with a bill at the end of the month but Virgin have just informed me our bill is going up. Errrr excuse me no it's not, I will be swiftly phoning them to ask for a deal or I will be off :D.

Been shopping at Lidl this morning and never went near the budget let alone overdo it :T. Very pleased with that one. So I've rounded down accounts and added some to my savings pot. Trying to save for a holiday this way and we currently have £28.28p and at the moment we can travel to the back garden Well it's a start :rotfl:

With weather like this a back garden holiday could be wonderful. :D

You're right Crystal and at least I'm off work so I shouldn't be moaning.

At the moment we have thunder, lightening and rain. It's heaven :)

    Nice and cool

I had the thunder/lightening/rain earlier, it was lovely, then within half an hour the sun was scorching your eyeballs out! :rotfl:

    Morning all

Made a small overpayment on our short term goal this morning. Needed another little boost as I don't get paid until next week. I will get this paid off and finished next week :j. It seems to have dragged on but considering it was originally over 2k it's an achievement for us. Then the small overpayments I make on this will go towards another target I set myself. :D

Morning diary world and a nice hot sunny one it is too :D. Plenty of broken sleep last night due to me waking up constantly sweating even though we had the fan going. Fat lot of good that was.

Anyway I've dug out the original paperwork from our short term target and have contacted them for a balance update. I didn't realise just how much the balance was to start with. £2873.27  this was apparently an overpayment from DWP from about 11 years ago I'm not joking but it took them years to tell us about it. Disputed it constantly trying to go down the statute barred route but to no avail.
Anyway I discover today it is now at a big fat ZERO :dance::dance:

We were unable to add it into our DMP and have been slowly chipping away at it and wow it's finally gone :j. Phew I honestly thought we would never see the back of it but all the little overpayments along with the agreed payment has kicked its ar§e.

Considering we still have Mount Everest to climb in flip flops it's a boost for us.

    Fantastic new Motivated! :j :j

Not only is that debt wiped out but you can use the money that was being paid to it to demolish another debt. It's surprising how 'little and often; makes such a big difference. :D

    Thanks Crystal

I am already planning where to send the money and which target to set myself. I've changed my £1000 by Xmas target to £500. I realised I was being too over enthusiastic with that one :o

I will spend some time this morning looking at figures and setting myself a new small goal

Thanks for your words of encouragement and support.
