The Sunday Telegraph today puts Tonic as a best recommendation.1

My meter replacement appointment has been cancelled. I expected that to happen due to the coronavirus pandemic so I have some time to sort out my spreadsheet.I checked out the Google sheet and it looks useful and not too complicated, at first look. I like that the screen is not so cluttered with choices, like Open Office, and I don't know if and how I can save the finished sheet in my own files. It seems to be set up to save in Google.cloud or somewhere remote. I entered a column heading and wanted to edit it and I could not see a way of doing this. My head is in turmoil at present so I may not be thinking clearly.

Hi All, Like many people I had two statements dated 13/3/20 (presumably spat out from their 'new' billing system) which showed silly figures for gas consumption, i.e. very low. As reported elsewhere, their call centre staff are 'working from home during the current crisis'. My first conversation with the virtual call centre was a waste of time, as the young man at the other end did not understand how gas measure in cubic feet at the meter were charged by the Kwh; in other words, he did not understand the calculation - the important muliplyer factor that is missing from the calculated gas amount on the statements. You would have thought they would be aware of this?? So I made a second call and spoke to a nice young lady who was clearly struggling with working from home, so I took pity on her and decided to be helpful and walked through the issue with the gas calulation. This appeared to be the first time that she had heard of the issue and the only response I received to my request for an accurate up to date statement was " I will pass your request to my Team Leader". Whooppee.Has anyone out there received an accurate statement recently for gas?0

Yes Peter, my account shows a statement that looks about right for this time of year. If they ask to increase the DD I shall look at it in more depth . Otherwise I am wait and see. They are probably in talks to sell or transfer customers.

Here's a hoot!!Within minutes of one reviewer posting a one star review on Trustpilot about non refund of monies due, there were 23 (yes twenty three) 4/5 star reviews posted by satisfied customers. Absolutely tremendous.Wonder which one of the 24 I would place most store by?0

Does anyone take Trustpilot seriously? Companies should spend more time solving genuine problems rather than creating fake reviews.0

Yes, there is a crisis now, but the muppets at Tonik have been ignoring me for months.
It's disgraceful that shoddy companies use crises as an excuse for incompetence.1 -

It's disgraceful that shoddy companies use crises as an excuse for incompetence.Despite telling them, in response to my 1* review on TP, that I wanted them to provide up to date specific information on their website where all customers can see, they have once again contacted me about the review.Keep posting your reviews as they seem to pay more heed to them than our direct contacts via email or phone where we provide our full account details and information on the problems we are experiencing.

Please do NOT switch to this company. I was with them for a year before switching to a cheaper deal with another provider and they will not refund my credit balance of around £350.The date of my switch was mid November. I have emailed them, messaged them, phoned them and even written to them recorded delivery but still cannot get them to refund me my closing balance. Everyone I speak to has a different excuse. They are now ignoring my letters and emails and when I do get to speak to someone on the phone they seem sympathetic and promise to look into my account and phone me back but never do.They did not even reply to my recorded delivery letter so in desperation I have now raised a complaint with the Energy Ombudsman. One star was the lowest I could give or I would have given no stars if that option was available.AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!0
