evening all who are still up! :)

i edited my list a couple of pages back to save bothering reposting!

glad the day is over, headache has been hovering all afternoon but i kind of feel wide awake now. hmmmm. guess best thing is to go to bed and read.

OH has just told me on the phone that his brother's got engaged. good new though i feel a bit odd as apparently his parents are going to be paying for a lot of it cos her parent's don't have much money, but they aren't really contributing to our wedding (my parents aren't exactly rich). tried to say something about it to OH but he just kind of avoided the subject and said it was time for bed. not sure how i deal with that one...

Ive just got back having gone down their for supper, and 6 pints of cider and 2 vodka tonics later im in no state to do my room. (think the neighbours might complain about the hoovering )

Tomorrow im home early(ish) from work and going to make cakes for friday coffee time then im off babysitting 6 till 9. Then im going down the pub to recover....

Friday i might well do some when i get home but then its pub time early as its the England v Tonga game and i'm sooooo watching that (Rugby girl here) so yet another night in the pub, Sat am im teaching kiddly winkles to swim (hope they arent overcome by the fumes) and then saturday night guess where i am - yes the pub for a friends gig.

So i promise i will try to get the place a bit cleaner and less dusty, i really will try to do under the bed as the cats just been under there and all i could here was sneezing.....

    Right enough from me,
Rach you have every right to be peeved

    thanks denise and aimee.

guess best to speak to OH about it at the weekend. his mum did say she wanted to talk to me about contributing something and i said to ring my mum, i need to text her with the number. perhaps i'll put something like, my parents are really stretched with two weddings to pay for (my sister is getting married 3 months after me) and any help would be much appreciated. i'm not very goot at doing these things face to face. seems odd that his parents would be paying completely for bro's wedding even if her parents are divorced (so are mine!!!) so OH might have misunderstood!

i get so worried and wound up about this kind of thing, esp when its unresolved, i probably won't be able to sleep now :(

Rach - go and have a hot choccy, a hot bath and off to bed with you. You NEED your sleep.

Maybe write all your thoughts down before bed, too.

    HTH

    Hugs to you.

  • Rach, I think I would definitely wait to speak to OH and see what's what. Might be some facts missing and if you do end up having to pay for it all yourselves just think of it as independance and at least you'll get to dictate everything about your wedding day. My Bro's MIL tried to hijack their wedding choosing guests etc. It's always going to be a tricky one.

Good effort by me yesterday evening; everywhere is tidy now. I didn't get the ironing done but that can wait 'til Friday. Tracyg and JulieJim, thanks, I'm pleased for me too :D

Don't be making another 20 pages before I log on again on Friday evening. But do lots of Flying and Flinging.

    Okay so far I've:

    Fed me and the kids
    Put washing on the line
    Washed dishes
    Ironed a couple of things

    I think that's a good start for 7.30am!

Let's see how I get on later

Hope everyone has a good day especially Solway!

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
