1LuckyLady, that's the stupid thing, there isn't actually anything I want or need.
Clootiesmum, I call them happy pills tooI'm dreading coming off them, mostly because they miraculously cured my IBS.
La E How was the spaghetti?? We had it too!
i finally settled on YS posh sausage rolls and crisps for lunch, I have enough left for tomorrow too. I also picked up some YS houmous, a pack of beef mince and a chicken and something or other bake, all reduced by 50%.
Myhermes have refunded the £15 plus postage for the vintage toy they damaged in transit :T I've packaged up my recent eBay sale ready for dropping off tomorrow.
DH's auntie and uncle were just on 2 4 hours in A and E, they were really sweet
There was a bit of a kerfuffle on my way home from work tonight, some scumbag had trashed the toilets in one of the restaurants (or maybe it was the pub, not sure) and a young guy that worked there had made a citizens arrest! The young guy must have had some training in restraining someone using the least amount of force because he made it look easy and was calmly explaining to a passer by what was happening while he was waiting for the Police to arrive :T

My go to meal is pizza and dough balls. For some reason my DS views those ready made dough balls that come with a garlic butter like something mythical. Usually serve with tomatoes and cucumbers then give them ice cream and berries for pudding. But this is a rare occurrence as we don't live near school so it's holiday play dates mainly.0

Hi January Jubilants,
I'm back....
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:
* Finished and sent off application for promotion. This has taken me 6 hours at the PC...methinks I got carried away.. Also prepared for the interviewIt's all in the hands of Great Smurf now.
* I now have FIVE days off....yes FIVE...my first time off since June apart from the two day's the business was closed over Christmas.
* Submitted DW's tax return. What a palaver logging in to the HMRC website is. Can't remember if I already said that...
* Checked online banking.
* Plan something for my birthday on Sunday. Sorted: booked a night away at a very local Spa for a rock-bottom price and the place has just been refurbished.

Enjoy the time off Ally.
I was engulfed by a big wave of anxiety yesterday, haven't felt like this in ages. It will pass. Swinging a kettlebell around last night helped. In the words of FVD I need to snap out of it, I am worrying about things that I just cant do anything about.
CheeryDaff well done on the plastering, as someone hopeless at anything remotely practical I think this is brilliant. DIY going on here too but its DH doing the work.
Washing over airer, chicken taken out of the freezer to make a pie later, sandwiches made from some tuna that needed eating up.
DS2 has just come downstairs and sat on my knee. Considering he is 16 and bigger than me I felt a bit squished but nice to start the day with a hug! See - there are things to smile about.0 -
Morning gang :wave:
Ally - sounds perfect - enjoy! :T
I’ve got my cheapo oats on the go :A
HM soup for lunch
Arghhh…forgot to get something out of the freezer for dinner though… Must get something on lunch as otherwise it will be takeaway…
Shopping on lunch with a list!
Night in tonight again hopefully…although we do want to go to ikea to look at kitchens at some point :think:
Need to check YNAB
I’m trying a caffeine free day :eek:0 -

Morning
ally great stuff on the application. They always take ages! Fingers crossed for you x
really annoying my entrance card for the local zoo is missingI'm going to call them and see if they'll replace them but I doubt it. I could probably prove I bought it on my credit card statements but they may say it's tough. We'll see.... If they say no I'll write them a letter and send copies so the statement and lay it on thick about lo's situation, our financial situation and what it means to her to have this resource!
Things for today:
* tidying/cleaning upstairs - yesterday was downstairs!
* think I'll make a batch of cinnamon rolls. Recipe makes loads and madam only has 1/2 at a time
* all meals from stores
* photo things for fleabay/facebay - need to iron first though
* tax return tonight - oh is commandeering the tv for football tonight so it'll be the ideal time
* got a preschool maths book before xmas so will sit down with madam and do that
* if we don't go to the zoo we'll go for a walk and to the park this afternoon...
* friend popping round for a coffee after she finishes work at 2.30
* check onepoll
* read newsletter
* get dough & mozzarella out of freezer to throw a pizza together for tea tomorrow - working so good to have something all ready when I get in!
That's all I think. Might have a look through my seeds and start formulating a plan for sowing
clootiesmum & YL hope you both have a calm and peaceful day. Have you tried meditation? I use meditation when I'm suffering with anxiety - look on youtube for guided ones. Due to my dd's illness I have suffered greatly with anxiety in the past and I do one where i chant "I'm safe" (in my head mind not out loud!) and visualise being on a desert island. It really helps and I even did it while waiting to go into an interview once. Immediately I feel relaxed throughout my whole body it's fantastic!
Happy days guys xDF as at 30/12/16

Fvd - we didn't have any spaghetti in the end so it was with wholewheat penne pasta - defo do it again though!
I thought there was enough for 3 portions but OH took 1 and a half last night so obvs enjoyed it!0 -
someone I know on fb has posted an article about a woman who spends £38 a week on groceries for her family of 5 and my friend thinks this is absolutely outlandish. While this is a little less than I spend I don't think it's too extreme! My friend is saying how unhealthy it is that there is only 1 bag of apples but to be fair I only buy 1 bag of fruit and some bananas each time I shop as I was always throwing fruit away so now I find buying less means it all get eaten. And there were lots of vegetable items on the receipt. I definitely give us all a lot of veg but a lot less fruit and we are all exceeding our daily recommended f&v pd. I don't want to comment on her post though and expose myself!DF as at 30/12/16

Morning all
DNMS - better to eat lots of veg than lots of fruit anyway! It's slower release energy.
Ally - nice one on the application!
Didn't make the marmalade last night. OH was in a mood when he picked me up as he destroyed dinner. Risotto turned into orange mush
I almost caved in. I even said "right, we'll go out for dinner". then looked at OH and thought
a: I'm tired and feeling a bit rough still
b: I'm not fussed on eating restaurant food
c: OH is being a t!t and it won't be a fun meal
So essentially it would be a waste of money.
I beat four eggs into the orange mush along with some sliced greens and smushed it into the frying pan in the manner of a large rice bake and had a few slices for tea. Tasted fine and approx. £30-£40 saved :T
Today's mission:- B/L/D from stores
- Make marmalade as didn't last night
- Crochet commission. Started last night. I can see why people really like the Stylecraft special yarn.
- Charge phone in work
- Run at lunchtime
- Put washing away, tidy round a bit.
- Leave work on time!
