    Morning all :)
    Today's list is:
    Walk dog
Finish wrapping ebay parcels - I have 2 to post this morning, and someone coming to collect a larger item this afternoon :)
Look at my car - it had a silly problem with the gear selector, so went to the garage yesterday. Although the problem itself was tiny, to fix it 'properly' would have entailed a part costing £4-500  Apparently a tiny pin on this expensive part had bent, and you can't get just a new pin, you have to buy the whole thing :( The mechanic suggested a 'fix' for £70, so unsurprisingly I went for that - my car is quite old now, and I am not sure the more expensive option would be worth it. Anyway, I want to see if / how it is any different in use.
    Post office
Sales unit to restock if needed / tidy up,I didn't get to this yesterday as I normally do on Mondays
    Soup in fridge for lunch
Beef casserole in fridge for dinner

OK, coffee drunk, must get out with the dog! 'See' you all later :)

    Morning folks

Shattered now after such a late night and it appears to have caused a resurgence of the dizzy head/earache bug. Feeling pretty shoddy so hope I pick up.

FatVonD - I get time and a half when I do overtime. My job is a senior technical professional role so my hourly rate is fairly decent too thankfully. This is what allows OH to be a carefree musician!

    Today's mission:
    • B/L/D from stores
    • Bread in the breadmaker
    • Asked OH to peg the washing out as it's finally meant to be dry
    • Charge phone in work
    • Gym at lunchtime if well enough
    • No drinkies
    • Make marmalade tonight
    • Put meter readings into app. They seem to be confused about my electricity for some reason. I put meter readings in just before I changed tariff and now the leccy has disappeared from the app (a bad sign from previous experience). When I put the reading in this morning, it said to double check because it wasn't what they were expecting, but only went from 3386 to 3450.
    Have a good one all

  • Morning all :hello: quick post before I dash out the door. BB is broadband I think bob

    Today will look like:
    Check banking, surveys, FPL
    Lunch and snacks to work
    Packed lunch for DD
    Meals from stores
One thing from annoying thing list
    Hot drink for commute
Double check sums tonight as I appear to be £500 extra in my budget and I don't know where it was from. Last night I was too tired.
Open another current account for DH. He seems to be happy to do a full switch :T maybe some money in it for that but a,so want one with interest for some of our savings. Will investigate later.

Think that's about all. Check back tonight. Have a good one folks. PF.
  • yep it's broadband. done it now, pray for my soul guys :p

also applied for switch to coop bank with a £110 bonus 45 days after switch. fingers crossed :money:

    Ooh, fingers crossed DNMs! :j

Hope you're feeling better soon Carrie x

Not got off to a good start here :o SO very tired yesterday, ended up going to bed about 8.30  Slept right through :D but then didn't get up til nearly 9am  And obviously I'd done nothing last night, so had to rummage around for clothes, not defrosted soup for lunch etc, Mr Cheery hadn't been shopping so we don't have fruit to take to work etc etc

Anyway, I've had breakfast now, and fortunately it doesn't matter what time I get to work (although obviously I do have things to do and want to get there eventually!) so here's a small list of things I have done/will do today

    * take lunch to work (defrosted soup and home made bread)
    * take snacks to work (home made defrosted brownies and yogurt
    * cycle to work and home (free exercise :D )
    * banks/ynab
    * plaster hole in spare room tonight

Think that's it :o Anyway, here's hoping today gets slightly more productive than it has been so far! :rotfl:

    Morning Tuesday Savers,
Big job list today & have to go out to a meeting tonight, so this is a flying visit. money saving stuff today as follows:
*Using one frying steak found at back of freezer to make a Chinese-style stir-fry. Will cut it up into little strips to make it stretch further & include plenty of veg & noodles.
    *Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Postie brought annual mortgage statement. Filed it safely. Always nice to see it's going down.
*Prepped first lot of marmalade oranges & put to soak.
*Cast on next sock. Have put aside a wodge of time for knitting this order this afternoon.
*Did overnight laundry on the cheap tariff. Now on heated airer. Washer re-loaded for another cheap wash tonight.
*No downstairs heating on until much later. If I get chilly, I will fill a hot water bottle & pop it behind my back. Will make a drink at the same time to save gas......oooooh, we know how to be tight on here, don't we?
Right, that will have to do. Need to get myself off the laptop now & on with today's tasks.
    Have a good day all.
