Feeling a bit sorry for myself today, in an ideal (1950s maybe :rotfl: ) world I should be at least semi retired by now instead of schlepping into town every day to work full time (I'm 57.5 so still another 8.5 years to go until retirement, not that I'm counting :rotfl: ) I had an urge to go out this lunchtime to buy myself something (no idea what!) as a reward for hauling my aris in today but talked myself out of it.

Breakfast was a cup of soup and a free pistachio truffle (I was conned, they shouldn't be allowed to use that word for something unless it has chocolate in it :rotfl: ) Lunch was a can of soup with some crackers my son bought and hasn't finished with some cheese I left here last week that survived the Friday afternoon clear out.

Dinner tonight will be our Mr Ts N@ndo-like chicken again which is already in the fridge so maybe a NSD.

Clootie's mum sorry you are suffering at the moment, be kind to yourself :)

Foxy lady you are sounding more like your usual self, have you heated the dreaded flu?

Not that you can tell someone's age from the interwebs but I thought you were about 40 :)

    Afternoon all :)
I am a bit all over the place today due to family stuff going on in the background :(Still, onwards and all that...
Thanks for starting us off DNMS :)
((Hugs)) to Clootiesmum and 1LL :(, great to see Foxgloves on good form once again though :)

Anyway, today I have / will:
No heating on downstairs, and have not yet lit the wood stove, as it is honestly not cold, we are back to wet, mild, dark and miserable as opposed to wet, cold and miserable :rotfl:
Had a bit of a flurry on ebay, so 5 parcels packed and posted today, and 2 more items sold since :)
    Listed a few more items
Small shop in Mr S, bananas, potatoes etc, just boring everyday stuff that we had run out of :)
Walked into town, took dog so did his walk at the same time
Made soup from veg, turkey stock and the last few fragments of meat, for lunch :)
Got a beef stew in the oven, have used up all the remaining bendy veg :T

    Still to do:
Clear dining table which is covered with[STRIKE] carp[/STRIKE] valuable antiques :rotfl: Actually nice vintage things, for the most part. These need wrapping and putting back in box. I have a strategy of bringing down a box from the loft and listing the contents, but I haven't listed them all today. The ones that have been listed have been taken down to other boxes in the garage so I (sort of) know where to find them when they sell :)
Pack ebay item and message other buyer who wants to collect

Not a very impressive list today :o
