Nothing much going on here, I had some soup and a free cupcake for breakfast, I have more soup here if I can face it for lunch though I need to pop to the supermarket for bread so may replenish my work store drawer with stuff that *isn't* soup!

DH has requested anchovy spaghetti for dinner tonight which is all good as that's what he was getting anyway :rotfl:

I need to sort and print a Hermes label for my eBay sale.

I'm still feeling glum and in need of a treat but when I look at my bank balance (and listen to the conversations in the office) I think, all things considered, I'm actually doing okay (overdrawn as ever but not worried about going over my limit) so I need to snap out of it.

DH has dropped off repeat prescriptions for us both so that will be an expense in a couple of days but well worth it.

Have a good day everyone :)

FatVonD, what kind of thing are you fancying for a treat? I used to think of treating myself as a meal out or a shopping day and spending loads. Now a treat would be a lovely bath whilst listening to music (mainly to drown out the sound of the kids bickering!) and pampering myself a bit whilst hubby watches the kids for a bit.

Looking for a bit of advice from you lovely lot :) If you're school ages kids have friends coming over for tea, what do you feed them?
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

I have to say a big thanks to all of you for your kind comments - at least I can "speak" to you guys without you knowing if my eyes are leaking - again :o

And best wishes to all the other poorlies too.

Yesterday didn't go quite to plan but I did make soup with a smoked ham hough I found in the fridge & tea was provided by a neighbour who gave us some of the roast lamb leg left over from her lunch on Sunday - delicious it was

    So today - been better
E-mailed new sick line to work after Dr visit
    Dropped off vouchers to BIL
Dropped off dead ironing board to coup
    Picked up more happy pills
Washed bedding (one way to get me out of bed of a morning)
All meals from stores (unless next door's Red Cross parcel arrives again :D)

But that is it - tomorrow will be more productive - I need to make it so

    Thanks all

Aw clootiesmum (((()))))))))))))) yes you talk away all you like, and even if we know your eyes are leaking we won't mind :) xx

Just popped in to report that the weekly food shop is done :j Mr Cheery (in charge of food budget) gave me £25 and I spent £25.03 :D Suspect next week will be a cheaper one as it's already Wednesday and we won't need flour/sugar and other staples next week.

Can't remember what else was on my list but pretty sure I did it :D

Off to do some plastering in the spare room now :j One of the most money-saving things I ever did was go on a £30 day long plastering course at a local centre - I'm no expert and won't be turning professional any time soon, but I've replastered quite a lot of the house now and saved us an absolute fortune :D Doesn't look too shabby either :j (house is 130 years old so nobody expects it to be perfect... ;) :rotfl: )

My go to meal is pizza and dough balls. For some reason my DS views those ready made dough balls that come with a garlic butter like something mythical. Usually serve with tomatoes and cucumbers then give them ice cream and berries for pudding. But this is a rare occurrence as we don't live near school so it's holiday play dates mainly.

    Hi guys

I've been away with work - nice little free dinner, breakfast and lunch. Helped myself to some toiletries too :D

FVD - we're having the anchovy spag tonight :D

Poor little pooch had to go back to the vets again tonight. Only vet#1 was there so she took some pics for vet#2 to see and suggested bringing him back in a few days - he might need another op. At least she is happy getting a second opinion now too... :(

    So...today was another NSD...

I'm off to make brekkie for tomorrow - doing overnight oats this week.

Put some towels in the WM so will hang them up before bed.

    Boring really :p
