DNMS I've not started the tax return yet, I've put it off until this afternoon but, like you, I'm sure there will be something missing and I'm pretty sure logging in again will be a faff. Did you not get a P45 when you left the job? That will have all the figures you need if you did. Otherwise I'm sure the HR people will be fine with you, it's their job to remain impartial, whatever the circumstances. I remember being amazed when the HR woman that handled my first redundancy then added me on Linkedln!

Yorkshire Lass I don't think I've ever lived anywhere that was completely 'done' until it was time to sell it!

I'm regretting planning the full English today as I don't feel like cooking it so it will become lunch.

I'm awake earlier than usual of a weekend so I WILL photograph some stuff for eBay and start my tax return. I need to fool myself into doing it, 'I'll just get out my diaries and check where I was', 'I'll just check my login works' and before you know it it's done (hopefully.)

I'm going to take down a couple of books that aren't selling on eBay and bundle them in with the others (I left them on as each had a watcher,) while 1 Lucky Lady's code is still active :) The eBay price would be nice but again, bird in hand etc, etc.

I have promised my mum I will go to old person bingo with her tonight, she has been sent to Coventry because she has upset quite a few people there (they're worse than toddlers!) and this will be her first time back since before Christmas. It's just at her social club so not too expensive and we usually win our money back anyway.

That's about it for me, DH will be cooking dinner as I'll be out and we have the right amount of peri peri chicken breasts in the freezer for 3 people so I guess it will be that.

Have a lovely Sunday everyone :)

CLF - I don't think you are cheeky at all! In fact I think *they* are cheeky for asking! :kisses3:

Incidentally - I just got 8 swagbucks for searching 'graphgan' :rotfl: :rotfl: Looks very complicated and I'm sure £150 is NOT too expensive - in fact is it expensive enough?!

    Right, must get on!
  • Incidentally - I just got 8 swagbucks for searching 'graphgan'

Glad to be of service :D

The problem with graphghans is that they are very time consuming. You couldn't charge what your actually time would be worth. I calculated one I did before Christmas and it would have been approx. £650

I just can't see people wanting to pay much more than about £150

I won't take on many of those type of commissions but this person is a friend and it's nice to have a few showy pieces in your portfolio :D

Celebrating my birthday quietly, not least of all because yesterday's sunshine has been replaced with drizzle.

I will be plonked on the sofa watching some secondhand DVDs gifted to me. ;)

Having a lazy day today. Got two YS items yesterday; got a new lunch box which was £5 reduced to £1.50 and cakes reduced from £1 to 50 pence. They were things I was going to buy anyway.
    - relist unsold eBay items
    - FPL
    - enter two postal comps
    - blue rewards on Barclays is turning into hard work. In order to get the £4 each month you have to set up two DD's. I changed one last night, need to change another today.
    - Making a Betty Crocker cake with one of the free packets we got last year
Can't think of much else, LP x

  • Mine probably isn't as complicated as yours fvd. I only received just over £550 from msging last year, and although I certainly wasn't as organised as I should have been all the details are in the ms sites so it was just a matter of working out how much were expenses to deduct.

Initially I forced myself to just log on and see what I could do to get it started without it being a massive chore. Then I kinda got on a roll! I was doing it for about 3 hours.

I suspect it will be met with obstruction fvd! The whole organisation was weird, small charity I was just a bank worker out of hours so never built any rapport with the day staff. I was accidentally sent an email by the manager to the finance woman where the were sl@going me off and taking the pee... when I left they didn't give me a reference despite saying they would.... Sadly can't find the p45....

    Happy birthday Ally

CLF, did you actually have 'best offer' activated or are they just chancers? I always make a best offer if it's there even if I'd be happy to pay the full price, (seems silly not to if they have indicated they're happy to sell for less), but always accept any counter offer they come back with.

If they are chancers tell them to bog off, if they want it they'll pay for it.

In that case you just need to adjust your crown and remind them who they're dealing with (I do love that quote!)

  • Happy birthday Ally. :bdaycake:
DNMS - sorry about the missing P45/60 and the nasty so and so's that you used to work for.
I've had a productive morning, although I do feel ready for a nap now. I woke up at 5am and couldn't get back over to sleep. I've done all the daily housework jobs, plus mopped through and cleaned the kitchen. I've also done a cupboard and freezer dive to batch cook for next week as it's tight until payday so I need to have a real use-up week. I watched an interesting documentary and crocheted another square for my blanket.
Not much else planned for the day - was supposed to be seeing my mam but she's ill so we've postponed for a week. I should do some school stuff but may need to nap first.
