Happy Birthday lynnejk - enjoy your self-pampering!

Welcome to all new and returning Flyladies :hello:
Hope the lupus behaves itself today, Lame Wolf; glad you "got lost" in the exhibition. We had something similar in Peterborough just before we left there - do you remember that I did some interviewing and transcribing of people's memories of the new town?
    GWS to dancemum's DS2.
Narc0, I hope this week goes smoothly for your M-i-L, MrN and you. You certainly will deserve a nice meal out once the move is complete.

Another 7-hour day at the hospital with DH yesterday (most of it spent in the waiting room :() with another blood test and chest x-ray. If I had laid bets on whether or not he would have the procedure they had told him to come back for, I would be rich now. The very nice consultant - i.e. different one from last Monday, thank goodness - said they need to arrange a special appointment for the procedure to be done under echo guidance, then he was going to hand him over to the Respiratory team. DH already has an appointment with them in 2 weeks' time as a follow-up to his hospitalisation in Nov/Dec. If he gets worse in the meantime, we have to go back to AEC.

I went prepared with one bag full of food (breakfast and a light lunch for both of us) and another full of books, and I did at least manage to do some reading for my college course.

    Today:
    - WMx2 (one is almost done)
    - paperwork and filing
    - breakfast at SW after weigh-in
    - lunch
    - relax for an hour (probably zzz - I have been up, doing more reading, since 5.00)
    - college
Did you spot the flying in there?

Catch up later. Hope everyone has a good day. (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round x
  • Good Morning All :)

Happy Birthday Lynne, have a lovely day x

Up since 5.15 with both kids - DD will be rather grumpy after school I expect! DW unloaded, I have had a shower and kids eating breakfast. Just about to set the WM going.

Today's plans include volunteering this morning, listing some more bits on ebay and a trip to the post office. I slept very badly (lots of short disturbing dreams) - we will walk to school this morning as we all need the fresh air.

    Back later xx

    Happy birthday Lynne

Last night's threatened cold has come to nothing, thank goodness. Just having a coffee.

Over the weekend I have managed to get 3 items listed on fleabay, bag to CS, and an onerous admin task 'possibly' completed, which was completion and posting of a humdinger of an application form for the PTA bank account. This, in particular, was impacted by recent events.
I also deleted emails, found my healthcare insurance have paid my optical claim as a dental claim, so have emailed them. My claim was put in in Dec, so I might have ticked the wrong box with my addled mind, but how they could have approved it, when it was clearly and opticians receipt I don't know. I've also contacted the meerkat co. as they're sending the toy but have declined the movies and they are advertising you get both at he mo...so this is all positive as getting round to tasks like this has been challenging.

Happy birthday lynnejk! Sounds like a lovely day :)

I need to get ready for work so will do stuff later, but this'll be my list to attempt (thanks Natty!):

Tempting Tuesday ~ Kitchen, Utility and Dining Area
    Level One...

    Wipe and replace small appliances
    Declutter and wipe work surfaces
    Level Two...
    Sweep and mop floors
    Wipe units/appliances
    Tidy recipe book shelf
    Level Three...
Clean one small appliance thoroughly... kettle

    Extras
    • Order and organise the[STRIKE] packets and jars and tins.[/STRIKE] baking stuff! I'm swimming in it...
    • Meter readings
  • Just back from school run, having g already completed kitchen apart from sweeping and mopping floor, and made a good start on dining room. Will carry on and tackle that now, then make a start on utility. Not sure now far will get with that as it's not had a proper sort out since before Christmas.

About 5 mins ironing left, so will do that.

One load in wm, with another load waiting.

Yesterday hoovered playroom and made a good start on conservatory. But as it is being used as a dumping ground for DD and bf to store stuff for when they move out, I'm not expecting miracles just yet. Slowly moving there stuff, more organised into boxes in office.

Stud walls in conversion upstairs went up yesterday, and I cleaned beams and then floor downstairs.

Today will be carrying on with beams and floor and then staining beams. Head scarf required today :)

Clear and wipe a cluttered fluffy shelf!
    Level Three...
Tidy, clear and wipe the top of the washing machines and dryer
Clean one small appliance thoroughly.. microwave, kettle, iron,
    Clean detergent drawers
    Extras
    Clean paintwork
Order and organise the packets and jars and tins.
Sort the utensils.. half melted spatulas are not necessary!
HHI.. then wash the ironing board cover!

Morning all and happy birthday to Lynne (hope that's right). I need to join in as I have just started work full time again and need to keep on top of the house. I'm working from home today as the man is here measuring for new kitchen and conservatory floors so no commute into Manchester today:T

So I shall fit in a few tasks around the work today. However I refuse to mop the floor if it's going to be ripped up fairly soon:D

Loudmouth - I used to pay about £45 for my oven to be cleaned when we were in Belfast.

Rosemary, I don't work outside the home but if I vacuum a couple of rooms and tidy every day it seems to keep it under control. I can't bear yukky bathrooms or kitchen so they get some attention every day and the lodger's shower room gets a proper scrub every week. Dusting I do when I absolutely have to, ie when we've got visitors and everything else gets done when I can't stand it any more. In other words, I always mean to be on top of it, and never am. I certainly don't want to be thinking about it all the time.

It sounds as though you're going to be frustrated by hospitals for a little while longer, Ionafan. (((Hugs)))

Happy birthday Lynne! :bdaycake: And many happy returns.

Kelpie's off to be flown this afternoon which means I can zoom back and finally spend a couple of hours in my office, packing away Christmas decorations and sorting all of the junk that's been piling up in there. Not being able to work up there for six months means it's a total disaster area again. *sigh*
    Better is good enough.

Happy birthday Lynne, have a lovely day.
Hope things pick up for Iona and Mr I.
So far I've been to zumba.
Taken mince out of freezer and checked for recipe.
    Filled bird feeders.
Carpet fitter who promised to ring between 10-10.30 has not rung and line is constantly engaged, so having packed report documents and my laptop so I could go round to flat after zumba and work while carpet being fitted, I have just come home. Mr N says if they ring in the next hour, he'll zip round in his lunch break and let the guy in.

So no more waffle from me; back to my report.
