Loudmouth............he has just cut another one down............I now have sun light..............if he carries on, there are another 2 to go.................and I will have full sunlight, day light, and hopefully later on in spring very little moss, as the air / sun will have killed it all off....................(Yesterday I could see him as I was in kitchen, cooking up soup and batch cooking meals for me!! :j Ps I don't normally stand at my kitchen window all day watching my neighoburs.
HoneyB, the presentation is all done, :j saved on my laptop, on a memory stick, and printed off, just in case...................when I do stuff like this, it normally vanishes off into cyber space or thin air, :mad:and I have to start again...........been there too many times where you stand up in front of a panel of customers / seniors bosses, click the button for the power point to start and nothing............ at least now I have a paper version, not ideal, but it is workable.
Hair is done as well...........

Ooh I'm in charge this week...and I Have Mrs Beaton on the kindle...
:DBe kind. It's the final full week of tax returns. I've done 3hrs today already and dealt with 1irate client. I love the fact it's not my headache to sort:rotfl: But this week is going to be manic.
This pm I am going to go to the gym. Didn't make it to church. The the kitchen and the bedrooms need a once over.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Afternoon all.
Valli, I shall be ignoring this week's lists as I have just spent 6 hours emptying out our kitchen, bathroom, utility, ready for refit. My 'kitchen' is now in my LR for the next month. The only room in the house untouched is our bedroom so that will be the haven for the month.
Just about to get clean and then go for a family meal out, Christmas delayed.
See you all on the next thread.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

No flying for me so far today. We've been to Ikea to buy a bed for the spare room we're currently renovating and to B&Q for paint samples.
Will need to sort clean washing and empty the DW but that'll be about it today I imagine.
The bathrooms will have to wait til next week!0 -

I imagine some poor misguided twonk gave you that for Christmas. They are RIGHT OFF my Christmas card list.Wasn't well yesterday, fainted and literally slept for 24 hrs ..... omg dh and kids have cleared the garden, dismantled trampoline ...... feeling blessed
Healing vibes DonnaJt for whatever ails you.
For anyone interested who can't find their motivation to crack on with Flying, there's an excellent Ted Talk here on creating new behaviours. After I have breakfast I will Fly for 5 minutes. That'll be my mantra next week, so whatever I can do in 5 minutes that's on your list will get done every day, Valli.Better is good enough.0 -
I've done enough flying for the week! Spent all morning (after a cooked breakfast for Mr N, BIL and I) cleaning MIL's old flat and boxing up the last few odds and ends. I daresay mine would be as bad, but the floor and tiles under/behind where the cooker and WM went were unspeakably disgusting. I even wore rubber gloves, and I'm not a glove fan at all usually. I then attacked the bathroom with a range of sprays etc while Mr N was vacuuming/de-webbing/dusting the bedroom and hall.
Meanwhile BIL went over to see if she'd had a good first night in the new flat (she had), brought her back to us then went in to see her friend/neighbour who she hasn't seen for a while. BIL then drove both seniors to see the new flat. Mr N and I took a carful of stuff to the tip (old cooker, bags full of carpet offcuts, polystyrene packaging etc as well as rubbish) and managed a coffe & cake in the Range where we were meeting BIL and MIL to choose blinds, a bin, plate racks, bedside table and heaven knows what else. While blinds were being chosen, BIL and I went back to my place to clean old fridge/freezer which he is having and had been sitting on drive all day to defrost (which as it was -5 when we came home at 8.30 last night was challenging). I then cooked an unscheduled meal for us all.
Anyway..............BIL now gone home.
Mr N taking MIL home, via old flat to do final check/mop bathroom floor/vacuum lounge/read gas and electric meters.
I am sitting with a coffee about to finish a report.
On balance it was a successful weekend I think although MIL did manage to lose her purse somewhere along the way so had to ring bank and cancel cards!
Will start a new week hopefully reporting my own flying...........Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
I'm thinking of taking LameWolf's advice......running now to them hills! I'm not sure that I'm ready for Mrs Beaton. Oh well, I'll give it a go I guess!
Not too much flying done today although I think that I have WUDUPA at least 5 times today! Cooked a gifted pheasant in the slow cooker for dinner tonight, and a teabread for packed lunches.
Thank you ladies for everything you do for this thread. Although I have lurked for a few years, posting somehow makes it all feel different. Thank you, and see you on he new thread - gulp! X0 -
Given Mrs Beaton didn't have what we have (wall to wall furnishings and electrical appliances) and had what we didn't - open fires...and staff - I've decided to give it a miss.
was fun watching you wriggle though:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
