Honey bear I don't have a DD, but happy birthday to whos ever DD has a birthday.
Valli, hugs to you x
I have also made a large sheperds pie enoguh for at least 4 meals, so that needs to be portioned up and frozen as well.
I have time today, so have been putting it to use.
I am a bit worried though, my NN's hubby, seems to be on a large long ladder, in a height harness, attached to a tree, with a large saw in his hand, I 'think' he is about to cut said tree down...............I can see him from the kitchen window...............Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Lazy wave from the sofa with a cuppa and a snuggly cat
Sorry to hear about the break-in Jazee. Any CCTV evidence to try to trace who did it? People who steal from others are scum-bags IMO
{{{hugs}}} to you Valli x
Been shower room inspiration gathering this morning and have just finished installing new LED downlighters in the caravan. Lots of dust and swearing from DH, but bathroom, master bedroom and boys' room done and we can at last see again.
One of the dog bags has split and millions of beans are coating the carpet in the lounge... looks like another mammoth hoovering session...
Cuppa now...ooh, and chocolate oaty biscuits, obvs.0 -
Just dropping by to say thanks for good wishes. The MIL move went in many ways better than expected, we certainly achieved more than I anticipated. Have done loads of flying clearing out the old kitchen including an unscheduled flooding a cupboard with bleach - WM had been disconnected but pipe not capped off which I didn't realise. I'd filled a very yucky ex-vegetable bin with bleach then tipped it down sink and wondered why a waterfall poured out of the cupboard onto the kitchen floor.......
Poor MIL is pretty confused and overwhelmed by it all; the vast majority of stuff is now in her new flat which of course looks cramped and cluttered as a result. I have managed to empty 5 boxes worth of stuff and put them in cupboards which has helped. She keeps bewailing the 'tiny flat' but actually each room is slightly bigger than her previous flat and the kitchen is much better laid out with more cupboards. However, the old flat had a small boiler room which she kept loads of "stuff" in, much of which she insisted on bringing although it's junk. She also had a loft. Oh well it will get sorted. She spent much of the day sitting on the sofa watching us so reluctantly I made a lot of executive decisions as to where things should go. Doubtless I'll get the blame when it turns out to be the wrong place. Have sneaked home a few things - I mean, why did she need 5 rolls of clingfilm, 8 rolls of bin liners and 6 rolls of sellotape....?
We are just home to change then all going to Prezz0 for a meal then I suspect an early night!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Glad it went well Narco. I think you're heroic.
Sorry Kazwookie - I think it's Valli's DD's 21st but I may be wrong. I often get the wrong day / week / month.Better is good enough.0 -
Well done narc0 xx
Birthday wishes to all the fly kids xx
Freezing here today. Not been out other than to take DD to dance class and pick her up. DS friend came this aft for a play, and his mum for a :coffee: so had a natter.
Brought a suitcase down from loft - how many beach towels and wash bags??? Will be editing those tomorrow... DD has a trampoline party and after that we'll sort through her clothes. I'm betting she won't need anything!
Got kids bedding washed - still haven't remade yet - and rest of uniform washed. Did a bit of homework.
That's all really. Keep warm, everyone xxBossymoo

Well I didn't get the bathrooms done but downstairs has been well and truly blitzed! Dusted, hoovered and mopped throughout. 2 loads through the DW, 3 through the WM and 2 hung up to dry so far, one more to sort out.
Bins sanitised, sink bleached, hoover filter cleaned, big shoe box emptied and cleaned, dogs bed cleaned. I even pulled out the fridge-freezer and sideboard and cleaned behind those!
I'm feeling good for having had a productive day, now just catching up with diaries on here and waiting for OH to come home!0 -
Evening all. You've all been so busy while I've just been cuddling LittleyDog. DH has been busy! Tomorrow will be different, lots to get done including setting up a mini kitchen in the LR to use for the next month.
Re the break in, thanks for all your comments. Yes there's CCTV, two people apparently, police on the case, shutter replaced, door repaired and other security measures now being considered.
Oh and Happy birthday to all the flykids and well done YSL's offspring for wanting to do all the car stuff themselves.
Hope to catch up with you all tomorrow.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Hello all. Sorry to hear about the breakin Jazee - what a horrible thing to have happen.
I was very busy on Friday and did nearly everything on my list. Friday night went to a Japanese food making workshop and so spent some of yesterday making some of the things that we had been taught to do. So yummy!
Yesterday we had a very spendy day - we went out for lunch with vouchers that we got for Christmas. We also went into asda and the boys spent some of their Christmas money. Spent a small fortune in there mainly on printer cartridge.
Little flying will happen today but planning on taking a few bits to the charity shops this morning before church so that will feel good. Said we'd take the boys swimming this afternoon and got to get a few bits to make banana cake with (picked up a large bag of overripe bananas in asda yesterday - my only bargain!).
Have a good day all!Oct grocery budget £368.40 / 6000
