Aaaaannddd relax!
I've been busy! Rehomed lots of gibble, DW & WM been on, cleaned kitchen and 3 sinks and loos, dusted and vacced LR, DR and hall, put away last of groceries and sorted some recycling.
Having lunch and a :coffee: now, then I will go see to my desk.
I've sat the icing on a sunny window to soften, and I might see if I can make an Xbox controller out of it for The Cake.
We have done the party bags already - just so i know at least one job is done, and I have plenty of sweets and little gifts for my clingfilm game. I have his birthday card ready and two small gifts. DD is at a party after school and I said I'd take him to look at football kits and grab a McD's while we are there.
Will hang the laundry up then get on with my desk!
Sorry if I have missed it bossy, but how olds your son? It's daughter the youngest on Sunday, 14 already, where's it gone?! Worse for me,I was ONLY 48 when I gave birth to her! What a surprise we had! I too have iced a cake this morning. She is not having a party, just having a sleepover next Saturday as this weekend is taken up with football:( fun for her and her Dad, still I can get up to something crafty.
Since starting posting on here at new year, my housework seems to be fun, I don't feel alone and I love actually been told what to do! My house has not looked this good for years. Daughter even said yesterday when she came home from school how lovely the house smelt! It was only the cheapest value Tesco disinfectant ,still she noticed!0 -
Jazee sorry to hear about the break-in; I hope anything taken is covered by insurance. Damned scumbags  - who's got the keys to the Karma Bus, ladies? If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Afternoon everyone. The weekend is now here for me and for DH. We will be really busy boxing stuff up.
Re the burglary - £3k of stock taken. I don't think the scum realise that it comes off the bottom line, affects the staff's salaries and puts prices up for everyone. Rant over.
I just managed a lovely walk to the nature reserve with the dogs, first time we've been able to get there in three weeks. The sun was shining but no sign of spring yet.
Have a lovely evening.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
h no Jazee that's awful.:( I don't know about "don't realise", I don't think that sort of pond life care what anguish and hardship it causes anyone else. Good job I can't get to them - I'd rip the blighters a new one! :mad:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

I agree with lameWolf jazee, the scum couldn't give a dam about anyone but themselves. Do you have security cameras?0

Yes I agree, they don't care. Much like the people who abandon food in the supermarket, which then gas to be binned...its others that end up paying.
Was super busy before I went to work, did ironing and all sorts. Blue sky = mood lift and, oddly, a desire to cleanDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Oh Jazee that's terrible, so sorry xxx
Loudmouth DS will be 8 next week. I try to make any fondanty decorations a week in advance or they are too soft and they flop.
Well, we took DD to her pals party and went to the local shopping centre. Sp0rts direct didn't have his size, he wanted a B@rcelona football shirt, but the next size up was £52  they said we can order online and have it named and numbered for an extra £12 _pale_
Went for tea, notices a JD Sp0rts, popped in there, got the full junior kit (minus the lettering, we need to sort that separately) inc socks for £25 :T so that's his birthday sorted. Ish. I still need party food (just a few buddies round to play video games and so on).
House looking much better for this mornings blitz and the tidiness encouraged me to sort school stuff out and put away bags etc straight away so the hall is still clear.
Think I'm done for tonight though - could have a headache if I thought about it...Bossymoo

Evening all x
I have another streaming cold. It is beyond a joke now.
Bedside table pulled out and cleaned underneath as Fitbit is lost.
Christmas card list updated and cards recycled
22 buttons covered with red sequinned fabric for show costumes
Meters read and readings submitted.
Course attended
Dish cloth cotton purchased
Sorry about the break in Jazee, glad Miss Moo' passport arrived and good luck with mil's move Narco.0 -
You rant, Jazee. I'm ranting here for you. The sc&mbags don't actually care what the effect is on anyone else. We had someone walk into the warehouse where I work last year as brazen as you like and just take off with stuff. Beyond belief.
Good luck tomorrow, Narc0.
Thank goodness it's Friday! It was minus 5 when I went to work this morning  Minimal flying here today, beyond WM once and dinner cooked and demolished. DD sent home from school just before lunch feeling sick. She's ok now, but who thought that giving vaccinations during exam week was a good move?? I ask you. Luckily DH had the afternoon off anyway, so was able to pick her up. :A
I think I'm done for tonight... DD wants to watch a film, so that's us sorted.0 -
Hi all
Aww Bossy happy times, sounds like a lovely birthday for Master Bossy.
DS1 is learning to drive and has bought himself a little car, he is so determined to do this on his own without borrowing money. We have spent half the night getting insurance quotes, found one of those young driver policies for £1050 and he can get £250 cash back if his black box records good driving. His car cost £600 ...
Upstairs hoovered and dusted, 7 plates, 5 mugs, 1 coke can, 2 pop bottles and 2 yoghurt pots complete with spoons retrieved from DSs room. And yes before you tell me off I know he should sort this himself.
Kitchen and LR hoovered, bin washed, fridge tidied and swished, 1 load of washing on airer, another load in washer, bathroom scrubbed. Hm fish and chips for tea.
Paid stuff tomorrow but I am hoping that I might get the time and motivation to get the bike out.0
