I couldn't find us, we were on the second page I thought you all had gone away without telling me !!
Very chilled out morning, all the grotty jobs being taken care of during the week really makes a massive difference. I wish I joined in with you sooner!0 -
I'm here, loudmouth :hello:
Chilled morning here - in more than one way, as it is frosty white outside. Have dabbled around with tidying up, sorting out but nothing too strenuous
DD has a friend coming for a sleepover tonight, as it's DD's birthday next Tuesday. Since when did my baby girl get to be 14??!
Happy Saturday everyone.0 -
(((Hugs))) Valli. Glad the sunshine lifted your spirits. Long may it continue.
Brilliant linky, Ionafan. Thanks for that. Will have a thorough sniff through it all later. Can't resist a free course. I hope the lunch out lifted your spirits and things are looking a bit more cheeful for you. I miss your daily posts when you go AWOL.
Sorry about the break in, Jazee. It's not just the nicked stuff, it's the hassle of dealing with the damage.Since starting posting on here at new year, my housework seems to be fun, I don't feel alone and I love actually been told what to do! My house has not looked this good for years. Daughter even said yesterday when she came home from school how lovely the house smelt! It was only the cheapest value Tesco disinfectant ,still she noticed!
You put it beautifully, Loudmouth, so thank you for saying it. I zipped the dy*on around yesterday and did the shower room so that the lodger has it all clean and sparkly for her one day off this week (she's doing 14 hours days at the moment and it utterly exhausted) without having to think about it very much. This house used to be a TIP. I heart all Flyladies. Being on here has made such a difference to my life, I can't tell you.

So, yes, because I did that little bit yesterday I don't actually have to do anything today. I might do the stairs though, they're looking a bit dog hairy.Better is good enough.0 -
My match was cancelled today so I'm using the day to catch up on flying after a couple of weeks of nothing!
So far I've done DW x 2, WM x 1, WUDUPA and a bit of tidying as well as walking the dog.
Aiming for 2 more loads through the WM, hoover, mop and dust downstairs and the bathrooms!
Just having a coffee and a read of some diaries then I'm back on it.
Hope everyone's having a good weekend so far!0 -

Conundrum for you, ladies: Why is it that when I know I'm not going to get a cylinder-full of dog hair, I feel less inclined to deploy the Dys0n? :think:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Hello everyone,
You all seem busy!
Sorry to hear about the break in Jazee, hope it isn't too awful sorting it all out.
LW is it just the satisfaction of sucking up loads of stuff? A full cylinder of dog hair gives more satisfaction than a few crumbs!
Today I had a fairly lazy morning, although I have stripped our bed and got it in the wash, plus emptied and reloaded the dishwasher.
House is a bit of a tip, but OH wants me to start clearing out our ex-bedrooms as we are hoping to start work renovating the upstairs soon (our old bedrooms to be knocked into one room which will be living room). They are literally full of carp, so much flinging to be done. The ironing pile of doom is also in there. I'm going to eliminate it!0 -
The marmalade oranges have now been transformed into marmalade. :T
Car taken to tyre place to have nuts checked and wheel cover fitted.
Bunny in run, washing on line.
DD just called, called her by sis's name (which I have often done in the past) and promptly burst into tears.:o:(
Have eaten whoopsied pasty thing for dinner.
I could...
Iron last bits
Put already-ironed stuff away
Strip beds
Vacuum stairs...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Ah, but dog hair is what I call "clean dirt" as in you know what it is and where it's come from, and it's not "yukky" dirt iyswim.
Conundrum for you, ladies: Why is it that when I know I'm not going to get a cylinder-full of dog hair, I feel less inclined to deploy the Dys0n?
Exactly as BM says, LW. When there are clean dog hairs on the carpet, which they are because Kelpie had a bath on Tuesday and went swimming on Wednesday his hair is clean, it's very satisfying vacuumming it all up and the place looks loads better for very little effort.Soup made and portioned up, 12 so that is work lunch for 2 and a bit weeks sorted, for a total cost of £1.58, plus electric to cook for 15mins, I'll put that down as a bargin.
You've been rediculously busy! And Wow! on the bargainacious soup.
Valli, Is today's your DD's 21st birthday? If so, many happy returns of the day to her. (((Hugs))) for you.
Stairs and bedroom dy*soned, huge vat of bendy veg curry made with quorn and chickpeas for lunches for the next couple of weeks and at least one dinner, bins done, lamb defrosting for dinner tomorrow night with lodger.Better is good enough.0
