Narco hope things get settled with your MIL. I think about the amount of stuff that is in my parents big three bedroomed house and wonder how it will all get sorted when they have to move! Although they did clear some stuff out of the loft a couple of years ago.
House is reasonably clean and tidy. Did lots of washing and put it over the airers last night before I went to bed but most of it doesnt need ironing so it can be put away.
Going to try and have a day off today, did some paid stuff yesterday so I need a break before the madness starts again tomorrow. I will do a roast dinner for tea though.0 -

Narc0lepsy well done on the move. I hope she settles in quickly and you manage some rest.
I'm another one dreading clearing out houses. Hopefully not for a long time yet, but 7 bedrooms and four floors of antiques is going to be a headache. They are not hoarders, and the paperwork is organised, there's just so much. Stuff both me and my sister love but have no hope of having room for unless we move in to the house itself. Which could be a problem considering it's in London and I'm in Glasgow. Ho hum.
Right. Must get my arris in gear and do some work before church.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Hi can I rejoin please my house was spotless last year before I lost control
Welcome back, Donnajt. You're way ahead of me because this house has never been spotless!Prep a presentation for work..this 'could' lead to something else for me, so I want to spend some time on it............
Good luck with the presentation and whatever it might lead to Kazwookie.
FBO I went through the house thing a few years ago, and the dreading it was so much worse than the reality, although it wasn't plain sailing at the time. Stuff that I'd loved all my life is no longer in the family but the only thing I miss is a pair of nutcrackers and possibly a knife sharpener. The rest, surprisingly, never crosses my mind other than to think, 'Gosh that was beautiful, wasn't I lucky to be around such lovely stuff for so long?' I'm much less attached to things just because they're beautiful as a result, which stops me buying more stuff I don't need. It's 15 years since the house sold, about 10 years on after my mother died and at the tail end of last year I finally managed to let go of the last thing(s) that I always knew would be tricky. In the end it was fine and I'm just relieved.
I'm having a day off today. It feels quite wierd not feeling guilty.Better is good enough.0 -
Morning all.
Need to clean out the bunny hutch, and I could do with washing the car but it's cold!
I did change both beds last night.

Honey bear I don't have a DD, but happy birthday to whos ever DD has a birthday.
Valli, hugs to you x
I have also made a large sheperds pie enoguh for at least 4 meals, so that needs to be portioned up and frozen as well.
I have time today, so have been putting it to use.
I am a bit worried though, my NN's hubby, seems to be on a large long ladder, in a height harness, attached to a tree, with a large saw in his hand, I 'think' he is about to cut said tree down...............I can see him from the kitchen window...............
Why am I laughing very hard at the vision of you watching him through your window?!0 -
