Got a throbbing hip. Painkillers scoffed. Sitting down at PC doing admin with a hot water bottle applied to my derrière. Pain easing.
Have emptied DW, taken recycling out, sent an email, played all seven letters in a scrabble game v one of my cousins (BOOM). Need to head out shortly as need to go to PO and CS (which are close by) then on to work. Teaching my favourite class this afternoon, I've worked with them since they were reception and they are lovely.

  • Well I have FLOWN!

Done everything I said I would in my earlier post, plus sorted a load of recycling out, emptied the leaf vacuum, folded everything out of the TD, done two letters ready to post this afternoon, listed another item on ebay and steam cleaned the hall floor!

Oh, and sorted some bits for the clothing bank that are not sell-able. Going to sort myself some nice lunch now to celebrate ;) x

I can't clean the oven the way I would like nowadays cos of my knackered knees I can't kneel ,so am seriously thinking about paying someone to come and do it. Has anyone any idea how much roughly they charge? Xx

I shamelessly admit I get Oven Angels in to do mine once a year for a deep clean. I hasten to add, I do try to keep it reasonably clean between visits! I have a large double oven range cooker and I pay £120. Well, I had a range cooker....and will do again in a few months ;)

Lots done but nothing off the list yet

Off to get Tiny from preschool.

    Afternoon already

Ds2 had a high temperature over night so no one had much sleep. He nearly collapsed again. Sofa day for him. He is much brighter now and may be back in school tomorrow. He is upset he has lost his 100% attendance record.

    Ds2' bed changed
Our bed stripped and half remade (just duvet cover to do when strength returns)

no. 5 of 6 WM loads is in

    Bedding in TD

    Bathroom cleaned

    Kettle filter replaced
    Kitchen sink scrubbed
    Bras hand washed

    Can't wait to be better

I have flown, but off list - its bathroom and cloakroom today. Done 1/2 hr. Just having a cuppa, then should only take another 15mins.

I have re-organised my flying schedule to take into account work and other activities, as there is no point having big flying days on days I'm working or out a lot. Hopefully this will work better and mean that the rooms don't get missed repeatedly.

    Ok anyone for a QHF?

    Welcome LoLo!

(((Hugs))) Valli. I hope you enjoy your afternoon with your favourite class.

Hard at it here so if I'm not too late I'll join you for the next half hour at least, FBO. Both panto people left over the weekend after five weeks here and someone else is arriving this afternoon so everything needs a good clean. I'm horried by the carpets in both letting rooms; they're like velcro now so I'm getting them replaced. I've just spent about two hours on my knees with sticky lint remover in one room and even now I don't think the carpet looks good. I can't let the other room until I can get the carpet looking better than it does now, and the dys*n's not got any power left. Hey ho.

Two loads through the WM and pegged out.
    Better is good enough.

How did you get on HoneyBear?

Psychological warfare worked. Just 15 turned into the full 45. So Bathroom and cloakroom now sparkling and kitchen floor hoovered and steamed, dry washing put away and cleaning cloths/tea cloths etc on a hot wash.

    Lunch time.

Oooooh gilly1964 New puppy? Details and photos please:D I'm suffering doggie withdrawal.

  • Back, after being AWOL for ages. Hope everyone is OK.
Worn out though, as I've spent some of my savings on a trip overseas to meet my granddaughter's new baby, and am still jet jagged.
So, I will do a dot-to-dot, I'll clear everything off my desk and see where that takes me,....
Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!

Defunct bulb replaced, lunch scoffed, shopping put away (OH did shopping and made me lunch - I heart OH), dys*n charging for next tranche of vacuuming, things tidied into attic, things tidied from attic to where they should be and not much else achieved yet FBO. I can't believe how looooooonnnnng everything takes.

Back to bedrooms and shower room now. She's arriving at about 4.30 so I reckon I'll just crack on through, coming up for air and a cuppa when I get too tired. I even made myself have some protein at lunch because I know I'll be flagging before it's all done.
    Better is good enough.
