I shamelessly admit I get Oven Angels in to do mine once a year for a deep clean. I hasten to add, I do try to keep it reasonably clean between visits! I have a large double oven range cooker and I pay £120. Well, I had a range cooker....and will do again in a few months
Lots done but nothing off the list yet
Off to get Tiny from preschool.
Thank you Dizzy, I will google Oven Angels. I have the tiniest kitchen in the world so my oven is not large. I would imagine it may be expensive but I really can't clean it, whatever the cost it will be worth it. It's my priority this week to sort the oven and get my windows cleaned. DH to do inside and a man with a ladder outside. I may even go mad and get my carpets cleaned. I am having the boiler serviced on Wednesday so that will be a tick on my needs to be sorted list.0 -

Kelpie sends tail wags and a playbow to new and not-so-new puppies.
Shower room and bedrooms finished. Big pile of dusters handwashed and dangled. I'm shattered.
A few months ago I went on one of those health service sponsored walks, and we had to fill out a form before we started. One of the tick boxes was about how much exercise we got, and it started out as 'none', then 'light housework', then getting breathless two to three times a week, exercising to increased heart rate level two or three times a week and so on. I think it was designed for people like me who don't actually do much formal exercise as such. When I asked what exactly was meant by 'light housework' I couldn't get a single answer out of the people who administered it, which obviously meant it was a complete waste of time, but since then I've thought about it a lot. Whenever I do housework I get an increased heart rate from the exertion, and I have to move furniture around to get behind and under it and if I'm not puffed out by the end of it I keep going because there is never enough time or energy to do all of the cleaning that needs doing. Does anyone else find the term 'light housework' demeaning and patronising? It's bl00dy hard work.Better is good enough.0 -
I'm puffed out Honey Bear. Not light housework here. Well done on your hard work X

MIL's fridge freezer arrived at 7.10am. Have taken it round to new flat, unwrapped and put it in place.
- Swept floor ready for carpet to be laid tomorrow.
- Supervised Mr N cutting and sticking Fablon in one of the kitchen cupboards.
- Went to Clubbercise.
- finished and emailed a report
- added to 'MIL flat list' of tasks. Why is it getting longer when we keep doing stuff?

Feeling a bit blue today, home from work so a cuppa before I do anything. Loudmouth - I got my oven cleaned a few months back £50 or maybe £55 - I don't have much time free and it was just never going to happen. Glad I got someone in to do it.0

Today is officially cold blue Monday. Have a glass of wine, sod the tea! Xx0 -
As fas as I am concerned light housework means flicking a duster around...or, if you live near one
climbing up a lot of steps to switch a lantern on, and maybe some stripy painting...ho ho ho.
I have got my tyres sorted and wheels re tracked. Back again later this week to get my nuts checked (ooo errr)
I am cold, I was wet, I am now in fleece pjs and my housecoat. Can't wear the pjs in bed, they're too warm (were bought for pj day). Still feel off.
So unless I can find some oomph nowt much will be done, I could do with doing ironing, sorting laundry and admin ...but we'll see.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0
