Evening! Not been on since yesterday morning before I had grandchild .fell asleep in the afternoon and just did basics. Today had to wait for gas man to service my boiler, he turned up at half three just as daughter came home from school demanding a shower as she had just done PE,He left dirty boot marks all over the kitchen so mopped the floor and it smells lovely in there now.
. Basics done today. I started the year with very good intentions and a come on let's do this, now I am getting the new year blues and totally stressed. I am another that just lies in bed worrying. Things always seem worse at night.0 -
Flying wise, um, ..... put dishes in DW. Does that count?
When Mr LW was out of work, I insisted he bite the bullet and sign on, it wasn't the pleasantest thing in the world (they treat you like a malingerer, even if you're doing your very damnedest to find work) but it had to be done.
Hmm..... in your shoes, I'd issue an ultimatum - "you sign on, or I go full time. End of discussion". But I do appreciate it might not be as straight forward as that for you, hun, I totally get the "he won't LET you" bit, my XH was like that.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Thank you LW. I've spoken to one of my clients and he said the work is beginning to increase but this is always a quiet time of year. I think J needs to take some responsibility for earning money; I understood when he was off and didn't do anything for 2 months but since then I'm feeling he needs to pull his weight and not just wait for jobs to fall into his lap.
Going to load yet more dishes in the DW, have fed the dogs and will put the clean washing away when I take S up to bed. Should do lots more but not going to beat myself up about it and am going to do some more sewing a bit later.
Loudmouth sorry to hear you're a worrier too - hard to switch off isn't it. Sending you a hug.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

I have a problem with my hall lampshade. It's a bunch of glass rods just hanging around the bulb. It's got a bunch of cobweb/dust/icky stuff stuck to it. I swiped at it with the duster, but no joy. It's too high for me to take down (not even sure how), or reach with anything not on a stick. Any suggestions?0 -
Levels 1 and 2 done yesterday, plus a bit of extra wiping around, bedding washed and put back on. Can anyone give me any advice on the best way to clean a Dyson filter? I'm sure someone once told me to put it in the washing machine but I'm not sure!
Rosemary how about the long nozzle from the hoover? Or standing on a chair?0 -
Morning all
Yesterday I made tonight's veggie lasagne plus prepped tomorrow's veggie pie so I'm organised re meal planning and still working through the freezer contents. Dh dysoned the stairs and landing once he got home from work, so today need to do the lists and catch up with the washing.
Had a think re the positioning of the new freezer and it could work out better turned at different angle which will mend the radiator in there is no longer hidden behind fridge so I can put the airing rack in front of it which will work much better. Need to move them tomorrow so I can give floor a good scrub before putting new ones in.
Today need to ring dentist to book check ups and sort out pb forms
Hugs good wishes get well, and coping vibes for all who need them
Sticks and spoons for you to help yourselves to.SPC~12 ot 124

Morning all,
Mumof2 I understand why you are stressed, and your OH not signing on is plain unfair to you. It may be unpleasant but most of us have done it I'm sure, and this is what we pay our taxes and NI for when we are working.
Sorry, back to flying. I haven't done any really, I'm going through a bit of a can't-get-anything-done phase. Today is the day of super-me! I'm going to go for a bike ride, then do lists until lunchtime. Then I have the dentist (crown, so long appointment) followed by the hairdressers. Then I don't have to pick the girls up until 5:30, so I should have time for some more flying.
I will report back later! Good days all x0 -
Morning flyladies. I wish I had a magic wand to take away your worries but on line hugs will have to do.
Not a lot to report here, still baking and icing cakes and doing the paid stuff. Ankle is improving, I'm now up to two short walks a day with the dogs.
Flying this morning has consisted of sorting finances as it's pay day.
Paid stuff now.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Later start in work today, lovely, I could get used to this! Did basics yesterday- 4 x WU (oops), 1 x WM, 1 x TD, 1 x sock pairing etc. Just to chime in about signing on - some lovely helpful people in jobcentres, he may find some good advice and it may give him a boost. A word of caution though - he may not get much/ any actual money - your earnings may be taken into account, but he would get NI stamp. Have a look at a benefits calculator to check.
A couple of errands to run today while I have a shorter day - rearrange hairdresser, take some bits I don't need back to the shop, pick up dry cleaning.0
