What recipes have you chosen to try?
I can't remember... I just stuck post-it notes in .... there's nothing really there that I don't know already ... so I was just picking out things I can already do and had forgotten about in recent years... it won't be anything difficult, or with many ingredients.0 -

Oh I love reading cookery books. I can spend a blissful hour or two reading up various scrumptious recipes before I prepare my beans on toast.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Oh I love reading cookery books. I can spend a blissful hour or two reading up various scrumptious recipes before I prepare my beans on toast.
to admit to having over 120 of them not including the ones on my Kindle and that's after a cull as each of my sons left home:eek: I seldom follow recipes apart from baking (not very good at following instructions LOL
) but use them as a base for what I cook

I found a use tonight for my mini Le Cruset casserole it's just right for one portion of mash. I like my sausages cooked in the oven and decided to be MSE and cook all of my dinner in it (apart from the gravy:)) so looked for something to reheat my bit of mash in and who'd of thunk it but it was a perfect size. :DThink it might get a bit more use from now0

I do that... it takes hours to find something nice, then you've no time - and don't have the ingredients either ... so beans on toast it is.

Not really ... pretty poor - you're supposed to eat from all the food groups and I see no sweeties mentioned at all!0 -
In the dim past, back to those "bottom drawer" days, I collected some recipe books, including the little booklets you used to be able to send off for from people like the British Eggs Association or the Potato Society etc ...
Binned the lot when I had a huge clear out and got rid of 99.9% of all my possessions as I had nothing of value and the cost of putting it all into storage, storing it, then getting it back out again at some random future date when I next had a home was going to be greater than the sum of the value of the tatty goods
Glad I did get rid of them all ... but, if I'd been able to keep them, that would've been nice to occasionally flick through them.
I also had a scrap book I binned, that had recipe clippings from as far back as one from Jackie magazine in the mid 1970s for a veggie scotch egg. Egg, potato, breadcrumbs .... 40 years, still never made one0
