... it sent me scurrying to my kitchen .... and, as I type, the kettle is boiling for my 3rd mug of choccy tonight
It was one of those things I'd had in the past and not really bothered with for donkeys' years. For some reason I bought an A5da pot of Value choccy and made some in late November ... and liked it SO much I found myself grabbing their regular Light (diet) version in December.
I've had quite a few drinking choccies in the last month. At first I had a bag of marshmallows, but finished those and haven't found them in A1d1 yet... I used to have one mug occasionally, so to have 3 in one night is ground-breaking stuffyou'll be toasty after that much (and hyper I would imagine):rotfl:

I've just carried on scoffing all night and feel a right tub of lard now:o....comfort eating I think it's called;)'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought
And I ain't got the power anymore'0 -
Good morning campers:D It's blinking freezing here today so feel as though I've had a cuppa in my hand since I got up:)
What's happening in the "cooking for one" households today?
I've taken some soup and a teeny slice of quiche out of the freezer. I made a couple after Christmas to use up some lardons and other bits and froze in small slices so 1 slice is fab for lunch. I've mash and neeps left from last night. The mash was previously frozen so I need to use that up tonight but the neeps were fresh cooked so I might freeze them. I've taken a cumberland sausage out the freezer so an easy meal to prepare. Need to make a big lasagne this afternoon for "the girls" coming round tomorrow night and I've a couple of part-baked baguettes to make garlic bread. They'll bring a pudding so looking forward to sharing a meal with friends. I'm hoping there won't be leftovers but there may well be so haven't planned any meals for Saturday. I suspect I may end up a tad hungoverso will just graze and go with the flow

Morning Caronc
I fancy something bad for me tonightIm debating between a Hollands steak and kidney pudding or a Greggs corned beef pasty with oven chips and beans . Love them both so either will do for me and I don't need to get them out of the freezer till Im ready to cook so no decision required at the moment.
Girls night sounds like fun I love an excuse to make a big lasagne. Im out to lunch tomorrow so will probably just pull out a slice of pizza or maybe just cheese and crackers.
Hope everyone is keeping warm its so cold today ramp that heating up for a day0 -
Morning Caronc, freezing here too, just back from shopping and drinking a welcome cup of coffee with ginger biscuits.
Deciding what to do for the rest of the day now, I fancy putting the oven
on to do some baking but don't usually do that till tomorrow as have DGS for the night and my lovely man for the weekend. Could make sultana cake as it keeps well and a casserole of some sort I suppose.
Hmmmmmmm a couple more ginger biscuits will help me decide lol.Slimming World at target0 -

I'd popped my heating off for a bit mainly because I wanted to open some windows and air the place as I'm always conscious that elderly pooch can be bit pongy  Needless to say they're closed now and I'm about to pop the heating on as despite fleecy slippers, a jumper and a cardi it's still too chilly for me.
Hope you enjoy lunch out tomorrow:)0 -
Today I had the 2nd CB Hash I'd made yesterday. Today's was nuked hot and served with a splash of HP
I only ate once yesterday, no snacks either - just four mugs of "light" drinking chocolate made with hot water and no sugar added.
Today I've only eaten once, no snacks at all ... and, so far, no mugs of drinking chocolate - so I'll go and make one now0 -

Earlier today, one of my "tax return avoidance techniques" was to randomly wander into the spare room (aka junk room, where everything's just chucked to get it out of sight....) and I picked up my old microwave cook books from the mid 1980s.... I've flicked through and shoved some post-it notes on pages where I might fancy cooking something.
I've had those for 30 years and, to date, not cooked ONE thing from them yetNice pictures though.
