Easy one but you MUST respond (late) and time this right.
Does this LBC give you 30 days to reply and what is the date on it?
Frustratingly the letter is dated 28th November but only arrived yesterday. It states I have 30 days from the date of the letter to either make payment or complete the Reply Form and financial statement, which puts us into the realm of Christmas when this is due back (at it's latest).
The PCN was issued on 11th January 2017, so 6th year anniversary is in about 7 weeks.
What's the best next step, and when should I time for it to arrive? Does your suggestion from January 2021 still apply or is there a better response to send?
Many thanks, as always.0 -

Send them an email response around 21st-22nd December asking for thirty days while you seek debt advice - as described in the second post of the Newbies thread.
That will take you past that mid-January date.

That will take you past that mid-January date.I have received your Letter Of Claim. I am writing to BW Legal to inform you that:
- I am seeking debt advice but I deny any debt and the case must be put 'on hold' for not less than 30 days under the PAP for debt claims 2017.
- I require you to remove the extortionate £60 Debt Recovery Costs and return the case to your client to re-issue the PCN to allow the appeals process, as the Government best practice intends.
- If you issue a claim, knowing that the add-on has been declared by the DLUHC Minister as 'designed to extort money from motorists', I will immediately report you to the SRA and will copy in my MP.
- I have sent your client a SAR.

Hello,
I heard back today from DCB Legal, despite sending the email around the 21st December..We note from your response, you are seeking Debt Advice.
Please note, your file will remain on hold for 30 days from the date of this email after which point, the full balance will become due.
Failure to make this payment will result in Claim being issued against you.
As that takes me over 6 years (exactly 6 years today!) from when the PCN was issued does that mean that in 30 days they can't issue a claim against me? If they do, what would my next steps be?
Thanks!

They can't and won't - haha!!!
You've WON!
But please don't disappear just yet.
Do you wanna get revenge, and help shape the new incoming law to stop this happening to you or others again?
A final Public Consultation is coming.
We need you; motorists need you to help us make a difference forever. What a waste of your time this was, and why should there be such a litigation culture in parking?Together, we can stop the rotten parking industry from riding roughshod over the new statutory Code and the charge level caps, and otherwise bullying all motorists forever, using the regulation to gain kudos and status.
If you are not likely to pop back here every week to check, please set up email alerts for this forum and bookmark this thread (below) as we intend that one of us posts on it when they Government opens the Consultation:https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6333989/mse-parking-ticket-appeals-guide-feedback#latest
Read the latest posts there.
The PPC money-grabbers have blocked the new Code by filing for Judicial Reviews. Stopped the declared and much welcomed parking code from February 2022, which stated that parking levels would start at £50.
It's on hold.
Motorists urgently need it reinstated and the ban on false 'DRA fees' confirmed, to stop the rot. At least in your case ParkingEye are the one firm who DON'T yet add the fake £70 (if you'd ignored a claim from any other PPC it would have been close to £300 to pay).
ParkingEye would absolutely love it if the Govt make the huge error of allowing the unjustified enrichment of 'DRA admin fees' to be added under the new statutory Code. PE have held off adding them but would make tens of millions more out of people, if the false add-on is endorsed by statute.
This year will be your chance to make a difference, plus any other drivers you know (family, friends) who are also fed up to the back teeth with the greedy and unscrupulous parking industry and the stranglehold they have on people.
We need high numbers of real victims to make a point of responding to this final Consultation.
Please bookmark the thread linked above and set up an email alert.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
