30p Short on Parking Ticket - £60 PCN

So is there anything I can do to get ahead? Or do I just need to wait?
It seems ludicrous that this could go to court over a missing 30p.0 -
You can read other defences, you can read the NEWBIE sticky, you can read the Template Defence, you can read example witness statements (although that is a long way down the line). When you read the NEWBIE sticky pay particular attention to the "How to submit AoS".2

You may like to consider wring to tDCBL and asking them to explain the added £60. Mention Beavis V UKPC Supreme court. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

But with DCBLegal the OP could try the old 'threaten a £900 counterclaim' tactic they don't seem to like:

Only at DCBLegal (Letter before Claim) stage, not in response to any stupid debt recovery threatograms from their non-legal arm. They wouldn't understand the reply.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the link. In their response they state they were neither the keeper or the driver.Coupon-mad said:

I am the keeper of the car but not the driver at the time stated.
Would a similar worded, but references to not being the keeper removed, still be a valid response?0 -
It depends if the underlying reasno for counterclaim is the same, ie you have naed the driver and so they have no cause of action against you1

Would a similar worded, but references to not being the keeper removed, still be a valid response? Why do you think I showed it to you?! Of course.
There are hardly any cases where a person was neither keeper nor driver but are still being pursued so the facts of the case are irrelevant.
I first wrote that letter about a year ago for a local friend, someone who was the driver and their main case was against the signage and the fact they were authorised to park. DCBLegal put it on hold and have never yet resurrected the case. I am telling you they are useless at coping with well worded counterclaims so when they see a clued-up D saying they will file a £900 counterclaim (in a response that spells out the basis of law that supports the counterclaim reasoning) they run away.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Hello there,
Sorry to resurrect my old thread but today I received my 'Letter Of Claim'. Is the correct procedure for DCBLegal still what is in the Newbies sticky or what Coupon-mad linked to nearly 2 years ago?
To confirm I am the keeper but wasn't the driver on the day. Incidentally the PCN was issued almost 6 years ago (early January 2017), so does the issuing of court summons still have to occur within 6 years?
Many thanks for all your excellent help.0 -
Oooh you just need to carefully time it out!
Easy one but you MUST respond (late) and time this right.
Does this LBC give you 30 days to reply and what is the date on it?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
