Thanks Malc
No, my sums were wrong, I added £70/365 to each figure instead of £35/365. The rest of my post stands though.
Ah! I see Raxiel. Glad I was able to give a bit of steer on this.

V19 for me ends next week. Needless to say I'm switching. For months now it's been perfectly clear E.ON has consciously and deliberately withdrawn from the competitive market, deciding to keep only the cash-cow customers. They have dabbled in the dark market of collectives where tariffs are invisible. But I suspect they wish to exit the domestic supply market completely (apart from the cash-cows of course): they have been testing opinion on E.ON becoming a comparison site - for a profitable monthly fee of course. And I have noticed an increase in E.ONs advertising to businesses in the newspapers and an absence of advertising to domestic consumers.
They're entitled to change their business model of course. The bother with AGE UK last year (for which I don't blame E.ON or AGE UK at all as it happens) seemed to precipitate all this. So, bye-bye E.ON.
Sorry to lose you However but totally understand where you're coming from. Also sorry I can't offer you what you want or come up with a suitable alternative with us at this time.

Eon EHL Collective Feb 2016 ends soon.
Electric switched to M+S Energy Fix & More 2 Year total after cashback and £40 voucher= £424 (No exit fees)
Gas switched to Better energy: Online Fixed 2 Feb 19 = £425 (£30 pounds exit fee)
both based on usage of 12500 for gas and 3000 for Elec and live in South East.
All in all paying more than £92/year pounds extra than my current EO tariff but they are fixed for 2 years
Shame to Eon for not providing a better tariff
Sorry to lose you, too, csgohan4 but can see why. I've fed this back to the managers looking after our tariffs and product review. Also sorry there isn't currently a suitable alternative available with us.

Never had to deal with Malc & Co. directly on this forum, as I've always found E.On's customer services to be able to solve any issue satisfactorily.
However, it is particularly reassuring to see Malc's feedback in the many E.On related threads here.

The product review I've spoken about before is an ongoing project. We're looking to redesign our entire portfolio. This includes both tariffs and services.

That's the most concerning word so far?
It's been easy to predict Rewards would go and therefore "services" will follow. It's not difficult to predict which "services" will go either, as E.on uniquely, offers these "services?" It depends how you determine services, but "services" to me, are what makes E.on stand out from the rest.
I don't suppose it matters? One customer, is a drop in a very large ocean.
It has to be remembered, the majority of energy consumers still languish on standard tariffs, and, from people I know, they consider it to be too much of a hassle to switch. Those people will never switch under any circumstances, (as hard as you try to get them to switch.)
Those people, also aren't aware of any additional "services" E.on provide, (largely, for "vulnerable" customers.) In fact, the majority of customers aren't aware of all the extra "services" E.on provide?
Maybe the changes are something to do with E.on's questionable Age Uk dealings / image? or even a move away from maybe an "old fashioned image?" I imagine E.on to have a bank of more "mature" customers. After all, E.on has been around far longer than these newer, smaller (and basic,) companies. Maybe it's plain old cost cutting?
The minority of energy consumers, post on or follow this forum.
I think it will be a great shame if E.on also strips these "services," if they are the ones i strongly suspect will be stripped. It's probably in line with what other companies don't offer, but which makes E.on unique?
At that point, I'm orf, too, (but not until my uber duber E.on tariff has expired.) At least, i will consider what every energy company has to offer. But i would do that, in any case. I've already availed myself of these "services," as I've seen it coming. You definitely don't need customers like me?
A disappointing business plan for E.on, (from a consumers perspective,) but i expect E.on is looking into future economics of the energy market, and lets face it, they are not too bright at the moment?
I do hope I'm wrong. I remain for now, a happy E.on customer, but only because of my own foresight into the energy market?
Have a good evening, out of the office, Malc.Fred - Where's your get up and go?
Barney - It just got up and went.

Hello fredandwilma and didn't mean to cause you concern.
The product review I've been talking about is about redesigning not only our tariffs but how and when we offer them to customers. It's a case of providing the right products at the right time with the aim of improving our services.
Totally understand some customers don't like our decisions about Rewards and Price Alerts but we're looking to re-invest the savings made here in other products and services. Also understand, this is incredibly vague at the moment but it really is early days yet. Longer term plans will emerge as we go through 2017 and our website is the best place to see these unfold.
One particular investment is in improvements to the website itself. These are at the testing stage now. Although our relatively new online Live Chat service launched last year and is proving very popular with a lot of customers who prefer to talk to us this way rather than by phone or email.
As well as new stuff, existing benefits like the E.ON Energy Fund, current savings (lower standing charges for paying with a Monthly Direct Debit, dual fuel and paperless billing discounts) and our commitment to Government schemes (Warm Home Discount and the Energy Company Obligation) remain in place.
Sorry again to cause alarm fredandwilma and have a good weekend.

Another leaver here. V19 just ending and under current plan for gas / electric paying £572 per year, new plan offered at £754 per year! Yes £182 a year more. Now I along with many other MSE users are I believe pretty savvy and know we can switch and do switch - I am switching to Scottish Power, however I can't help but feel angry that many people who can't switch, as opposed to those who can't be bothered, will continue to pay over the odds.0

Don't know why people are complaining about E.ON. My fix with them ends in March and looks like a 20% increase wherever I go. That's how fixes, especially collective fixes, work. Hoping the moneyuk collective comes up with something on 14th Feb.If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0

Perhaps its because in my case EON propose to charge me an extra 32%? And even though switching means I will still pay more it works out to be an increase of 15%0
