I too have received a 'Parking Charge Notice' from myparkingcharge.co.uk. I opened up their website to view the charge and filed an appeal. I was annoyed to find that in order to lodge the appeal I had to disclose my address. I really don't think that they are allowed to do this.
I have received emails and a letter from them stating that the notice was issued fourteen minutes after the the allowed 'grace' time for parking beyond the ticket expiry time. This statement is untrue. They are also threatening debt recovery operatives.
They are saying pay £60 before a certain date or the cost goes up to £100.

SHOULD I PAY THIS OR NOT ?

I am confused by all this process of refusing to pay parking tickets. I just received one on private land outside a retail store for parking just over the lines !!!!!!. Can't see company registered with a trade body. Want £60 from me - seriously? Should I pay it? I am not registered keeper of car, my husband is?

Please read the 'Newbies' thread at the top of the page, it guides you through how the corrupt world of PPC's works .
Yo can then start your own threads for advice.

The general opinion is to ignore these 'Myparkingcharge' windscreen tickets, do not log onto the website, do not give them any details and do not give them any money.
Wait for a 'Notice to Keeper' letter to arrive.
  • Hey somebody please help. I have followed the appeal process on NEWBIES and have the template letter to send, however there is only a drop down box which all options admit liability, and so which option do I select inorder to not ambit liability, or do I reference this in the letter stating that I chose a random selection inorder to proceed?

Simoncarrington, if you want help, then you'll need to start your own thread.

Please don't hijack someone else's thread as responding to two people about two different situation will certainly lead to confusion.

A quick answer to your question: respond as keeper, or if that option isn't available, use 'other'.
  • Hi there

Am on the same situation, my brother was driving my car, am confused on what to do? Pay it or ignore it. I dont want CCJ on my file.

Don't hijack someone else's thread like this.

Before posting everyone is politely asked to read up on this in the Newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum.

Go there now for advice on how to deal with this then if you need further help use your own thread

    There's no 'fine'.

Who are you addressing this to, as every man and his dog have joined in here?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Who did you phone up?

Anthony, you really need to start your own thread, and then please ask questions that do not need any mind reading.

    Hi,

Last weekend I came back from holiday and found 2 of these tickets sticked onto my windscreen (as shown on page 2 by millerose)

MyParkingCharge © 2018 is operated and provided by the Central Processing Office.
MyParkingCharge and the Central Processing Office is a trading style of the Excel Parking Services Group
Registered in England & Wales No. 02878122

I had a look on the NEWBIE FAQ etc, and it says to check if the company is a BPA member. I had a look on the BPA Operators Approved and can't see myparkingcharge on their list.

    - - -

Windscreen ticket from a BPA member? = STOP - wait and research before appealing!!

If it was a windscreen 'PCN' (not postal, and not an Indigo Railway 'penalty' - see Q&A above) wait 3 weeks and in that time, you MUST check the firm is an AOS member with the BPA or IPC (GOOGLE & CHECK THEIR LISTS).

STOP PRESS APRIL 2018 - UKPC DO NOT HAVE DVLA ACCESS NOW!

SO, WAIT FOR THE NOTICE TO KEEPER FIRST WHICH WILL NEVER ARRIVE AND YOU WILL HEAR NO MORE (SO DO NOT APPEAL A UKPC* TICKET, UNDERSTOOD?)

What it is: I parked my car at my girlfriend's private courtyard. There is many parking spots there each dedicated to a specific tenant. However there is currently scaffoldings on some spots due to renovation works. So we parked my car on a random spot and went on holiday for 6 days using my girlfriend's car. The tenant owning the spot we parked on, called the fine company, and that's how I got the 2 tickets. (though she hasn't even got a car).

I find it pretty stupid because:

    - that courtyard is never full
    - the scaffolding was on my girlfriend's spot so couldn't be used
    - my car wasn't an "extra" car as we were away with my girlfriend's one
    - that tenant who complained hasn't even got a car

What am I supposed to do ? ignore the fine and hope the notice to keeper will never arrived as mentionned in the FAQ ?

    Thanks for your kind reply
