Ok that's good then. What about the fact that they confirmed it wasn't because of a thong error but that I didn't follow the proper appeal procecer for the first ticket? It was appealed but not properly apparently even thini was told over the phone it was cancelled ages ago. I thought the typo was for the second fine as that was the only reason I could think of for the ticket as I always get the reg wrong but it turned out it was for over staying the 90 minutes
Most people reading the article won't be interested in the detail, and tomorrow it will be wrapping fish and chips. But it does ratchet up the pressures on PE and the surgery, neither of whom will be overjoyed to be making negative headlines in the national press. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. they are under an obligation by law to allow patients to extend their time (make reasonable adjustments) and the fact there were 2 patients and a visit to the chemist as well means this 90 minute made up rule is ridiculous, plus they are failing to adhere to the government guidelines too
ie:- patient care should come first
I wouldnt worry that its in the mirror, its more grist to the mill and now is a good time to contact your local M.P. about it and make an appointment at his or her next "surgery" and take a copy of the mirror article with you
it is also better for you if this ever gets to court , more "evidence" on paper and also the fact a newspaper printed it helps you too beause its clear that the paper is on your side in this matter
your M.P. can write to the DCLG M.P. (Marcus Jones) and also to Jeremy Hunt and to Theresa May about these issues on your behalf , plus he or she can write to your surgery as well0 -

Shall I write to my MP and sent them the links to this forum and the mirror? That way I won't have to repeat myself over and over and all the details are in one place?0 -

Certainly do that, although it would be polite to give your MP a little synopsis of what has happened and where you are now. You want to grab their attention and whet their appetite to dig further into this.
Giving them nothing only a series of links is likely to see your complaint 'filed'.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

also give them your name and address and email and phone number, stating you are one of their constituents
if you dont , they will ask you for these details before dealing with your complaint !!
and yes, as I keep saying and repeating , this is all better done in writing , then have a face to face meeting AFTER you have written to them , they will have an email you can use , possibly at the House Of Commons , so use it

I've emailed the MP Kerry McCarthy. I'm not sure if she is the right MP but I asked her to disregard it to the correct one if she's not. Hope that is ok
This is all turning out to be so long winded and stressful. Then they wonder why people just ignore them after a while, as there is no getting through to them. I should be compensated so all my time spent on this0 -
took me months to sort out ASDA , and I didnt have any parking charge notices !!!0

I don't have the frame of mind to stay cool for that long. I will just start throwing their letters straight in the In if this continues as it causes me too much stress and makes me in a bad mood and I don't need this right now0 -
I think now is a strategically good time to involve an opposition MP, given the flak doctors' surgeries are having to deal with from Theresa May's attack on them, and not forgeting that the Conservative Government is also being blamed for the 'crisis' in the NHS.
You know what, I'd be tempted to copy Jeremy Corbyn in on this. He needs a 'cause celebre' as he seems to be floundering in finding anything to hang his hat (comrade cap!) on. Real opportunity for him to bash the Govt on another NHS issue. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
