Foxgloves, I really hope you are feeling better soon. Rest up.
Dnms, I love the little c00p near my mums as we very rarely come away with nothing ys'd!
Dawn, same weather here, wet grey and miserable but very mild.
Maria, I hope you have a good week.
Today's list
* Usual Monday morning clear up, the house always looks like a bomb has hit on a Monday morning
* Record car mileage
* Check banking/spreadsheets
* Check fpl/lukcypnone/numberplate
* Wash a load on the quick 30 degree wash
* Radiator shuffle before they go on tonight
* Check fridge for what needs using up first meal wiseStew with jacket potatoes for tonight
* Update freezer inventory
* Make families lunches for tomorrows work/school
* Hoover everywhere - this should be really easy now I have the replacement part
Will add more as I go, this is my starter list
Have a good week all.
** Renewed library books online
** Cleared the hallway desk again and filed paperwork
** Continue using makeup/perfume that unitl xmas I haven't been using.
Well I got my list done and a few other bits.
* Made the most of being parked up at school early and painted my nails from my big stash of nail polishes I hardly use! - Have put this polish into the car and left it there and hope to use it up. (and look more groomed!)
* Kids are finishing off a slice of xmas cake and a thin slice of cheese cake between them as their dessert tonight. I think that is the last of xmassy food from the cupboard/fridge apart from some blue cheese and some pate that are in the freezer
* I got the additional info to hubby so he could chase for his expenses after his work made a mistake and its now sorted which is a relief as he was thinking we were going to be down £270 :j :j
* Continuing use up of 1) glasses lense cleaner that we found in the back of the cupboard that dh thinks he had before we married so 12+yrs ago! I have cleaned my glasses daily since coming across this little bottle usually my glasses only got cleaned if dh looked at me from across the sofa and couldn't see my eyes anymore! hehe and 2) some computer screen cleaner that dh bought several years ago on a special offer for a twin pack that he never opened and 3) I'm using up some coloured lip balm that I don't remember when I got!
That's my jobs done for today other then reheating mine & dh's tea later and wiping down the kitchen
Hope you've all had a good day too.
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Checked online banking the other day and he has paid the smaller one, £60. Guess what - he must have forgotten about the other one - sigh. Must chase him up.
Went to Li@l after work, list in hand. Did well. Laundry basket overflowing but there wasnt a full load, if you know what I mean, so have stripped DSs bed. Walked the dog, did some chores and having a brew before I make a chicken and ham pie (hope the leftover ham is still edible) and feed everyone. Then on with more paid stuff.
Had a long discussion about holidays yesterday. For years we have done very cheap camping holidays and we would love to push the boat out a bit and do one last family holiday together before the boys are too old. Of course pushing the boat out means a lodge on a holiday park somewhere, not an all inclusive in Dubai. Need to do some more sums.
Hummm what a lot of forgetful people there are out there hey:mad:
Hope you can find the cash for a lovely holiday this year." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Evening everyone :hello:
Thanks for the starter this week Ziggy and Katy_ann. I'm pleased that little man is home Katy, and that life is getting back to the new normal. Ziggy - I hope that you can make the right decisions for you and your dh about the retirement.
LaE - sorry to hear about the dog. Hope the op isn't too expensive. I know the pain of a costly op for a pet.
Welcome to all new people and returning folk. We are a nice bunch.
Thanks to everyone who suggested spa vouchers for my birthday. You may not believe this but spa is something else I don't do well either. It's an anxiety/confidence thing that I don't want to be poked and prodded by other people. And a spa feels really too frivolous to me to be honest, but I will have a think.
So, today I have:
NSD
Checked banking and PAD
Daily housework jobs
Packed lunch to work
Full day of teaching
Marked a set of books
It's all a bit samey but weekdays are always the same when I'm at work - too busy for anything too out of the ordinary...Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Oh wow carrie, that's great news, well done you! :j :j
Don't know where today has gone. Well, I do - it was my first day back at work :eek: So not a big list, but some small things...
- took frozen soup and home made bread for lunch :j Also took yogurt and home made biscuits for snacks :j
- put £1 in the tea kitty - works out cheaper and more convenient than taking in my own milk (and likely having other people swipe it when theirs runs out :rotfl: )
- Mr Cheery did the food shopping with our list and spent £16 :money: Will need more milk, and they were out of eggs and sultanas but it probably won't go above £20 for the week :j
Er, I think that's it :rotfl: Mr Cheery made risotto off the meal plan I suppose - does that count? Oh, and I cycled to work for the first time :j Not really money saving as I'd usually walk :rotfl: and it didn't save me any time as it's so uphill on the way backbut I'll get faster (I hope!) :rotfl:

CCL My SIL bought me a voucher for a facial as a thank you but I was too scared to use it!! It's still in my desk drawer.
Well done clf - that's quite a bit more than my body weight!
I am in bed, feeling sorry for myself with my poorly throat. Hoping an early night helps.0 -

Thanks for starting the thread Ziggedy-do-da hope you are feeling a little better today, (dare I say it, even having a wonderful day
) you too Katy Ann
(So good they started it twice!)
It's been a hellish day for me today on account of the tube strike, I managed to get on a bus this morning even though it crawled and I was half an hour late so worked through most of my lunch hour to make up the time.
Tonight I *tried* to get a bus but after standing in rain for 20 minutes the buses were so crammed they wouldn't even open their doors. I had downloaded google maps just in case I had to walk but couldn't work it out at all, gave up and basically ended up walking round in a big circle :rotfl: (I put my head down when I walked past work just in case I bumped into anyone that had seen me leave work an hour earlier)
I made it to Waterloo eventually but it took me a whole two hours to get home.
We took my mum for fish and chips for dinner, my treat, as we didn't go round at the weekend, so It wasn't a no-spend day, though it had been until that point. Lunch was blue cheese from home on some crackers I already had at work.
I've had two more sales on eBay amounting to £11.50 before fees :T

Me neither. What about a nice bit of kitchen kit? I'd kill for a Kitchen Aid food mixer (I'd probably never use it, it would just be a very expensive but very beautiful ornament)Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
