What small DFW things will you do this week? w/c 09/01

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important

    Hi ziggy.

Thanks for starting us off . New week. Let's go.

No lambs this morning so I took the dogs for a long walk and am now watching a baking programme and trying to get myself off to real work! You know, the one that pays.

Had a grocery delivery last night so I am ready for the week ahead. Just need some control.
    Have a good week all.

Morning all! Thanks Ziggy for starting us off! I made a thread at the same time as you but I have edited it and deleted! My bad!

Well my little man is home from hospital and we have had a chilled out weekend, OH is back to work today and I can try and get back to "normal" whatever that is!

The MOT runs out on my car next month and I need to try and sell the car as I don't have enough money to run it now that I'm on maternity pay! That's one of my jobs for today! Other things include:

    - A load of washing and tumble dry
    - B/L/D from home
    - Quick tidy around
    - Check bank accounts
    - Surveys if time
    - Fold yesterdays washing that got left in the dryer!
    - List some baby clothes on FB selling pages

I *think* this is it for now, I'm sure I'll find more during the day! Have a good week all x

Ooh a new thread :j Thanks for starting us off Ziggy :)

    My list for today:
No heating downstairs (weather here alternates between wet and dark and really freezing cold - today is a wet and dark day, but it isn't cold) It got cold as the day progressed, but I kept it off :T Toasty fire alight now though:D
Dog walks x 2, free exercise Done
5 ebay parcels to pack and post Done, though a bit annoyed as I use the Drop and Go business service, and our Post Office are currently not processing them the same day - no sign of these yet on the web site, so they won't have actually been sent today :(
Check up on the two I dropped off at the post office on Saturday as they haven't appeared on my online account history yet  they have only just done the Saturday ones  May need to rethink, as I don't want unhappy customers!
Go to sales unit, tidy up and restock if needed Done, several spaces, which is hardly surprising as I am having a sale. Took some new bits down, but could do with taking more to be honest
    Make soup Done
Dinner will be pork steaks from freezer, some left over curry sauce from another meal, and whatever veggies I can find in the fridge! Ended up having the soup instead!
Small shop, have list! Couldn't be bothered - just a loaf of bread from the corner shop bought, so a low spend day :)
Redid my freezer inventory, lots of meals in there!

Better get on as it looks like a busy day :)

    Morning Monday Savers,
Dreadful weekend as flu symptoms all returned for what I'm hoping was a final bash. Ended up back in bed. Intend to rest most of today, which means the only money saving will be:
*NSD. Am still not well enough to go anywhere & this is my 14th day of the flu!!
*Do 2 loads of laundry & put on heated airer as looks far too dank outside to dry anything.
*Knit more of my sock order.
That will be it. I didn't have a great night from all the coughing & I shan't feel up to doing anything else.

    *Package/Post 2 sold eBay items
*List at least 2 more things for sale
*Find Nectar card and login online to check what my balance is
*Look through cupboards/freezer and make a meal plan for the week
*Start doing surveys again - I'll aim for one a day

There are probably more things, but I am having a blank right now! x
