What a fantastic idea! I've just spent over £5 today on a drink and a sandwich from the work coffee shop. I need to stop this. This post is all the inspiration I need!!
I think a supermarket shop for packed lunches is needed and I have been putting off some calls regarding utilities.
Hope everyone has a great day0 -
Sounds good KitKat
Welcome aboard.
Well, it looks like I will manage my NSD...pooch has to get an op tomorrow so the vet said I can just pay today's bill tomorrow alongside the next one.0 -
Morning
Great bargains Determined that is brilliant.
KatyAnn I was so pleased to see you'd started the thread this week, even though it clashes with Ziggys. I thought good, she is trying to get back to normal. I really hope your horrible time is over for good. On the topic of the car. Do you need to sell it or could you do an SORN which allows a car to be kept off road, legally for a period of time.
Ziggy I'm glad to see you here, have PMd you as well today. I hope you and DH can decide together what is best on his potential retirement.
Foxgloves I can't believe how long your flu is lasting. You deserve a medal for putting up with it.
Hello to everyone else
Looks like a NSD for us as it's grey and rainy and we have just enough food to last the day. I think I am the opposite of a hoarder. I'd probably characterise myself as a 'food amber gambler' can I push it another day? I will definitely have to shop in the morning as DS has a playdate and I can't foist scraps on another child
Money? Well as usual I have it to come. £200 due in now. But depends on how long people style it out for. One person's 'oh I will transfer the money ' means just that. The others means, 'I will transfer the money, but only after I pretend to twice, "lose" your bank details, try to make you feel guilty for existing and bothering you by expecting you to play by the same rules as everyone else' you get the idea....The most hilarious of these is where people like, link in, follow etc my business social media, and then post up pictures of their fun times whilst pleading poverty over email. So stupid!
Once DD wakes from her nap on me, which I hope is soon as I need the loo, I will heat up my rather unpleasant home made soup. Something to look forward to

Bob, I too, have a pot of homemade unpleasant soup in the freezer. It was a huge pot which would using do us for a week but after the 2nd day of eating it and us all complaining about it, I stuck it in the freezer! I think next time I do a stew in the slowcooker I will add it in to there and disguise it

I need to get back on this bandwagon & now seems to be the right time. I've been signed off for a couple of weeks & am not good at leaving the house so hopefully a few NSDs should rack up.
Today has not been a NSD but as I ran away from the TalkTalk sales woman at Mr A I think the rest of the week will be NSDs.
Today's other plans:-
Walk dogs
Tidy & clean house
HM Rice Pudding to go with tea (made some the other day & DH has had it every day since)
Need to make soda bread to go with the HM soup in the fridge for tomorrow
Continue with deep clean of bathroom
I know this doesn't sound much but as my meds have been doubled up I have the attention span of a newt at the moment
Have a good day y'all

Not a bad idea! Mine isn't vile but I didn't blend it long enough and having thrown a stalk of raw broccoli in there without thinking it has that sort of of texture like when you leave lemongrass chopped in a dish. Bitty and unpleasant. Plus to to add insult I didn't put any seasoning in. So it needs salt. No one would guess I made soup to sell pretty much daily for almost 3 years" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Unfortunately it does need to be sold, its currently parked on MIL/FIL's drive and I'm not returning to my current job once my maternity leave is up as we cannot afford the childcare so the money wont be there to run the carIts a shame and I will miss it but Ill get used to the bus!

Bob you have just reminded me, one of DHs customers owes for two invoices, about £200 in total and "lost" our bank details. Checked online banking the other day and he has paid the smaller one, £60. Guess what - he must have forgotten about the other one - sigh. Must chase him up.
Went to Li@l after work, list in hand. Did well. Laundry basket overflowing but there wasnt a full load, if you know what I mean, so have stripped DSs bed. Walked the dog, did some chores and having a brew before I make a chicken and ham pie (hope the leftover ham is still edible) and feed everyone. Then on with more paid stuff.
Had a long discussion about holidays yesterday. For years we have done very cheap camping holidays and we would love to push the boat out a bit and do one last family holiday together before the boys are too old. Of course pushing the boat out means a lodge on a holiday park somewhere, not an all inclusive in Dubai. Need to do some more sums.0
