Hi January Jubilants,
Teeny tiny effort today.
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:
* Couldn't finish my tuna sandwich at tea time. Popped it in the fridge and ate it toasted for breakfast.
* Added to my Savings Account.
* Still taking food to work to eat for my midnight lunch. Trying to stay away from the vending machines but succombed to a Lucozade yesterday.
Live long, live well and prosper.

For years we have done very cheap camping holidays and we would love to push the boat out a bit and do one last family holiday together before the boys are too old. Of course pushing the boat out means a lodge on a holiday park somewhere, not an all inclusive in Dubai. Need to do some more sums.
Not sure if this is a help or a hinderance YL. (Link)Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -

hope you're feeling better today
CLF nice one
day of overtime todayI wish I'd never agreed to it! Of course The money will be good when it comes but missing my days off both with madam and without. Anyway it should be a good £70 I'll receive...
Have a ms assignment this morning so that is £14 extra cash
make something for lunch for me & throw a hm pot noodle together for oh
go to an office in the next town over and work from there for an hour or so so I can pick up my travel cup I left there before xmas
hang up washing
check meal plan and get something out of the freezer if necessary - although I need to get a move on with using up a whole chorizo sausage. Might have to chop and freeze - I think I remember Dawn doing this. Do other freeze chorizo?
yesterday I bought some dried milk powder. I use skimmed for a mocha each morning so figured dried milk would be a bit cheaper and just as good
make pizza tonight for oh's lunches for the next few day - use up from chorizo and mozzarella

That's me I think. Am going through an insomnia cyclereally annoying! Most of the time I am a great sleeper but every now and again I get insomnia and it sucks! Try to have a bath, read my book and get an early night. Have a great day guys x

Well done on your crochet commission Carrie and your amazing lifting!
Determined sorry about your insomnia. It's a horrible thing when it kicks in. Chorizo is an air cured product so it can last a pretty long time in the fridge. You can freeze it too if you want.
FVD Can't you work from home? That's what OH is doing. Im not sure whether to claim the saving as a womble. We are better off by £30 for the week so....?" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Ziggy thank you for starting the thread.
Over the last few days I have failed to keep up with everyone's posts, so I hope today to go back and catch up with yesterday and last week.
I'm not sure what today's plans are, but I have cancelled something the children were doing today as it was a luxury, saved £15.
I'll try and get back on later with a plan.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Morning all :hello:
Just having a quick break at workNot much of a list today, trying to ease myself back in to work again gently
But today I have/will
- brought freezer soup (yellow split pea) and home made bread to work
- cycled to work (free exercise)
- charged USB bike light at work laptop (free electricity, probably saved me 0.00001p :rotfl: )
- check comparison site for house insurance (keep putting it off but auto renewal is on Thursday so need to sort it out!) Renewal quote is £156, reckon I can get cheaper than that
- banks/YNAB
- make tea from meal plan (actually hoping Mr cheery will have done this by the time I get home... :rotfl: but I'll do it if not)
- paint 2nd coat on kitchen cladding
Need to pop out at lunh to get milk for tea kitty and I also need a new notebook for when my course starts next week. There's a few charity shops down the road so I'll see if I can get a Christmas cast off one - and I will NOT be tempted by any other bargains!
Have a cheery day all :j0 -
Morning Campers,
Still feeling brighter than at the weekend. Hardly dare hope I might continue to pick up this week. It is unheard of for me not to have left the house for so long (since 27th Dec!!) It's so slow-going though. We have resumed healthy eating this week, so hopefully that will help too. Am nowhere near up to tackling my usual epic lists yet, but there's a few money saving bits today:
*Made dough in BM for bread rolls & pizza base. BM played up & needed a bash but all seems to be working now.
*Pots of chopped frozen red peppers & aubergine taken out of freezer to add to pizza topping, also homegrown frozen jalopeno chilli. Intend to do a hot spicy veggie one.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch. Will use a freshly baked roll when they are ready.
*Re-filled all our tiny plastic boxes with raisins for snacks. Tried offloading half a bag of leftover currants in this manner. Didn't think mr f (not really a dried fruit lover) would notice, but he did & proclaimed them to be 'weird' & 'rank' & could he please not have them again! They won't get wasted though......he'll be eating them in lemon buns or scones or something or they'll go into fruity coleslaw or a bread pudding for my Dad. No food waste here in the Plague House!
*Do some surveys. Toluna is behaving very oddly the last couple of days. I can do a survey if they send it to me & I access it via my email inbox, but if I try & access their site to do more surveys & catch up on quick-clicks, the site is closed for maintenance. Shame really, as surveys are something I can easily do with a honey & lemon at my side while I@m not much good for anything else.
*Postie brought 2 money-saving potentials:
i) £50 of Co-op vouchers which was for taking out a new insurance policy with them.
ii) Car breakdown insurance renewal (£71)....which reminded me of something.
The Co-op vouchers are not for our regional Co-op but I can use them at the Co-op store in the next town. If I factor that £50 into my grocery budget, it will free up £50 of cash for paying into the Loan Pay-Down Fund. Re the Breakdown Policy renewal.....I think I will cancel for this year as I am almost 100% sure that when we bought our new car last August, we were told that it still had 2 years left of Skoda Breakdown cover. I will double-check that & then the £71 I would have paid for continuing existing cover can also go across to Loan Pay-Down Fund. So that was potentially good post on the saving front.
*Shuffled yesterday's laundry around on the heated airer. A few smaller things dried overnight but the bigger chunkier things are going to need a lot more time. It does reduce time if I move things about frequently though.
*Sorted out small cupboard where I keep freezer containers. mr f hates wasting plastics & had been recycling practically every tub or container that's passed through his hands since I've been ill......meaning that there's more in there than I can use, stuff without lids, etc. Quite enjoyed sorting it out. I haven't been up to doing anything much since Christmas so there's jobs everywhere I look for when I feel better.
*Write letter. Will use materials from my recycled stationary box & I've got some stamps somewhere.
*Continue knitting sock order. I can finish one today & cast on its pair for sure.
*NSD - Still not up to going anywhere & all free leisure as intend to knit this afternoon while watching a film from our own extensive collection.
*Tidied up the pantry a little as hadn't been in there for so long I couldn't remember what we had in stock. Spotted a couple of useful resources for next week's meal plans.
Hope everyone manages a productive day.
