J back again now; I think today is about the longest we've been apart since last May !
I hope the interview went well and he is successful.

Mummy2threeboys don't let them wear you out, or down; do ask for a contribution towards the food; and don't give them a key to your house or they'll take advantage of you. If you go out, they go out too!

I have decluttered 2.5 lb at SW and sorted my books and papers for college. DH has ordered DGS2's birthday present with his free delivery trial :)

Off to college as soon as I've drunk my :coffee:

    Enjoy your day off, LW!
  • Mummy2threeboys - you have had some wonderful advice and I can only second what everyone else has said. Stay strong and true to what you are comfortable with x

Mumof2 - thanks for your concern. I managed to go volunteering, then when my pal came over for lunch she took one look at me and said "I'll sort the food out, you go lie down". Bless her. I have very heavy eyes and clearly look as rotten as I feel. I hope it went well for J, I am keeping everything crossed x

Well done on the weight loss Iona :j

As well as volunteering, I have stripped and washed our bedding and DDs bedding, unloaded and reloaded the DW, played umpteen games with DS and done some other admin bits. Sold some unwanted gold for £64, which I am very :T about.

I hope YL, BM, dancemum and Jazee and anyone else with the lurgy is feeling a bit better today. More effervescent Vitamin C here I come! x

You're not alone there Loudmouth; I always finish off other people's stuff. Z in particular has a habit of leaving a fair bit of shampoo in the bottom of the bottle and saying it's empty - typical 14 year old girl I guess.

I've vacuumed right through, unloaded DW and now about to hang up washing. J back again now; I think today is about the longest we've been apart since last May !

On Sunday 13 year old daughter who will be 14 a week on Sunday told me the shampoo bottle was empty, I knew just by picking it up there was loads left so put the bottle upside down and now I have to finish it off and put the water in and swish it around. God borbid she should lower herself to do such a thing:rotfl:

Good stuff - I'd deffo not want to leave anyone "light-fingered" in the house on their own, either.
Do NOT make them too comfortable, or they'll want to stay at yours whenever the whim takes them.
Next time, have a ready "reason" why it's totally not do-able. ;)
Repeat after me: "mummy2threeboys is not a doormat! mummy2threeboys is going to learn to say No." :o

I did the bathroom very thoroughly already; does that mean I can have a day off? :D

We're waiting for the CH engineer to come and do some tweaks to the new thermostat, then Mr LW wants to go and see "Assassin's Creed" at the cinema.
LW, you and me are deffo on the same wave length!:D:D

Afternoon all. I can't believe those of you who have rellies taking the mickey, what are they thinking? Bloomin' cheek. Just say NO.

Today before the paid stuff, I dusted the dusty bits in the LR and that is it. The window cleaner came round today so at least the windows look better. Oh, I did manage to get 3 washloads done.

And that's it. More fairy cake making tonight.

    Have a good evening everyone.

Not a fly-day in household terms but:
    - went to zumba
    - taught 2 students
    - oven warming up to make pudding as we are going round to friends this eve and I said I would make it
    - gym classes booked for next week
    - assessment forms ordered
    - about to do gas/elec/phone searches for MIL. No comment.

Thanks all, The voice of reason. I have text with a few things, like can you bring food . As we already have plans in place for the elder boys you can either come to those plans (Karate lessons) or stay at my house or go shopping alone (It's really not hard to get into town!) Plus also at home learning. And they can sleep in the dining room (Table folds away) as Hubby and I do not go to bed till 11ish. Thanks. This is indeed why I get treated like a doormat, sadly I take after my mother!

Great stuff. Well done to you and remember next time, just say no:D

    Afternoon all.

I'm afraid my list following isn't going to plan this week. I blame trouble and worries with my paid stuff, lack of sleep and still suffering with this cold.

All I've managed is the usual daily stuff and a load of washing.
However, rather than tackle cleaning the bathroom, I tackled myself in the bathroom iyswim:p....ie a bit of pampering. I'm now in my pj's :o and wondering what's for dinner.

Dh would have been more than happy there today, it was his birthday so he had the day off. We did go out for lunch but I had to work lunchtime so couldn't do much else.

We are considering replacing our freezer and larder fridge. The freezer is an upright two door that's about 33 years old . The larder fridge is a tall one we bought 2nd hand about 28 years ago and it was old then! Both still work fine BUT we aren't sure how cost efficient they are. We've seen a v nice fridge freezer with an A+ rating in the Tesco sale for £410. Any thoughts on wether we are wasting or saving money if we go ahead with this would be apprechiated

    Evening everyone.
Very light (in fact almost invisible!) on the flying today in the Fayolle household. WM now on, yesterday's washing (towels - maybe that actually counts towards today's list!) finally dry and carted off to airing cupboard. Dinner has been defrosted from the freezer so a small space created there.
Well done to mummy2threeboys for deciding not to move out of your bed for your brother and family :T. As others have said, we always travelled with a travel cot in the boot of the car...
((Hugs)) to ATB and anyone else suffing from the lurgy.
Fingers crossed Mumof2 that J is successful with the job interview.
Dizzy - thinking of you x
I think this evening will be decidedly a no-fly zone, unless I get an entirely unexpected burst of enthusiasm....don't hold your breath ;)
    Have lovely relaxing evenings all.
