  • Evening everyone, hope all are well or getting better :)

Had a successful day today, thoroughly sorted out last two cupboards in kitchen, so apart from two draws, my kitchen is totally decluttered.

Even managed put some stuff away for DD, has as soon as conversion is ready, her and her bf and bump are moving out into it. Luckily still on farm so not too far away. As DS1 says, house will be so much cleaner when she moves out. She's always been the messy one of the 3.

Cleaned bathroom, but yet to sort out in there, I'm slowly decluttering one room at a time, will do drawers in a bit, while dishwasher goes through cycle, then will start on utility room next.

    Then our room,

Office is like a bomb, but it has all DD's stuff in there ready for her move, so that will be

Evening all. I crashed and burnt this afternoon - was exhausted, not sure why. Have managed to do daily bits, Hoovered around and tidy after children went home, made twinks hobnobs for packed lunches, made dinner and cleared up after. Now crashed on sofa watching tv so no extra flying for me.

Have read most of posts and wishing you all well!

Manic Monday - Let's start with the lounge!
    Level 1
Give the sofas and seats the once over - leather wipe or a just-damp cloth to move any marks
Lift and swap cushions and seat pads - vacuum underneath before replacing any
Rinse and squeeze out the cloth and wipe sockets, switches and door handles

    Level 2
Give light fittings a dust, too
Check ceilings, covings etc for cobwebs - especially if you had a real tree!

    Level 3
    Polish the windows
Make sure that nothing is in here which doesn't live here
Don't forget dailies - S&S in the kitchen and bathroom

    Extras
    HHI
Make sure your new 2017 diary and/or calendar are up to date with birthdays and key dates (insurance renewal, MOT etc)
Make sure you have all the birthday cards etc you need for the month!

    Terrific Tuesday - bathing beauties

    Level 1
Damp cloth in hand, wipe all switches and door handles
Scrub the toilet(s) and spritz with bleach
Wipe the outside with hot water, a cloth and detergent - don't forget those places you cant actually see
    Empty bins
    Polish mirrors and wipe windows

    Level 2
    Clean baths and shower cubicles
wash shower curtains or wipe screens
    Wipe the panels
    Polish taps

    Level 3
    Clean hand basins
Make sure there's plenty of soap for handwashing - essential to keep bugs at bay
    Mop floors
    Wipe loo roll holders

    Extras
Check through all those cosmetics, potions and lotions - if they are gathering dust be ruthless and get rid! Unused/unwanted can go to food banks/chazzer.
    Wash toothbrush holders and toothmugs
Clean out the cabinets, wipe shelves and put stuff back neatly.
    HHI

    and (thanks cowboymum)
    15 minute challenge
If you are fed up of clutter then it needs a home. Spend 15 minutes removing everything you don't want in a room from that room. Now that the room looks better be critical about what you have taken out. If you need it find it a forever home, if you don't fling it. If you haven't space for a forever home for it then something else has gotta go to make room. Houses don't have elastic walls and hoarders we are not!

I'm afraid I have done very little today............started a 2 day a week course and so I'm out earlier and back later than normal, so it's thrown me a bit!!!!
On the course again tomorrow but will hopefully get more done.......then back to normal on Thursday.........(unti lnext week!!!!)

Hope all are well..........sorry haven't kept up with th thread.........hugs to all in need xx

Just about managed to wash myself today...

DW, WM, TD, handwashing. Planted 4 plants that needed to go in before the frost comes back. Ignored work I should have got done.
  • Evening all,

Snuggled up in bed with the iPad listening to the wind howl. My eyes are streaming and my nose is raw, I've covered my face in 8 hour cream to soothe it!

Day at home tomorrow to crack on with paid stuff interspersed with lots of tea and toast - feed the cold as they say!

See you all in the morning x

Night ATB, hope you feel better tomorrow x

Seems like a fair few are struggling to fly today. I've actually not been too bad but when I do slip off the wagon, however long it lasts, I think anything is an improvement on how it was - baby steps are needed and you can't always put housework first. Sometimes just life gets in the way or illness or needing to work .... whatever it may be. I don't know if any of you do it but I put myself under pressure, or rather I did until I realised what I was doing and then put a stop to it. We're doing OK!

Enough rambling. I know what I'm trying to say but finding it hard to get it out!!

Done paid stuff this evening - second job for new client and I think I was a bit faster than yesterday but his work is very different to anything I've done before so steep learning curve. Got next lot of washing ready for tomorrow. Also got another job in to get done first thing.

Worried about Z - she's got a bit of this lurgy, school are pushing her like they do with Y9s grrrr, she's tired and has something on every evening this week. Doing all I can to look after her but I hate that at 14 she's feeling so worn out and stressed. Makes me mad. Rant over.

  • Mumof2 I let DS1 have a day at home after he finished his mock GCSEs, he wasnt ill, just shattered. He slept all day. I wouldnt normally do this but I just felt that he wasnt going to achieve anything anyway.

I am feeling loads better, back on the echinacea which I swear by. Hope atb and others get better soon.

Full day of paid stuff followed by my gym class so not much flying but I have sorted some washing and done the basics at least.

Going to be a long week I think! Ready for bed.

    I'm looking like rudolf here.

    1x wm done
    Ground floor vaccummed

Door handles, light switches, kettle and anywhere else I can think of all anti-bacteria cleaned. Dancedad has a sick bug.

Bathroom cleaned a few times and I have washed my hands hundreds of times.
