Just back in from busy day at paid stuff, on way out I got asked to cover for the rest of the week so with the after school club as well I'll be doing loooong shifts. Need to organise food for tonight and prep tomorrow's now so I'm in front of myself.
Thank for dhs birthday wishes honey bear, he had a lovely day.

Need to go and retrieve a garden chair from out of the pond again, then I'll attack the kitchen.

Hugs and get well wishes all round. Along with stay warm and safe in this weather vibes for all.

  • Afternoon all, just checking in to give myself a boost

    [STRIKE]Daily stuff
    Long dog walk
Half hour tidying up at front of house
    Reading at school
    Take delivery of food shopping[/STRIKE]
    Tackle flylists a bit.

The dog walk was windy. I then trimmed some bushes up the drive, with some general sweeping and tidying. I'm now putting away the shopping, and then I'm going to try to do at least level ones from every day while tea is cooking.

    See you all later. X

Afternoon all. Paid stuff just finished, very busy too.

I was up at silly o'clock with a poorly LittleyDog so did some kitchen tidying/cleaning. It looks so much better. Littley is off her food and just wanted cuddles all day (quite difficult while I was trying to type). If she's not right in the morning, a vet visit will be necessary.

No flying tonight. DD is coming round so I'll have a gossip with her.

    Have a great evening everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

I'll do some 'snips for Stilton and roast parsnip soup (on meal plan for tomorrow) and roast some mixed roots for today's dins (veggie sausages and roasties) at the same time.
That is a brilliant idea - we'll join you for lunch :D I kept some parsnips back on Sunday for soup, and I've got some Stilton which I was going to use for celery'n'Stilton soup, but we'll have a change. Nom-nom :T

I've just moved 3 (pretty) storage boxes full of useful things from the RoD (aka the spare bedroom but no space for a bed in it amongst the pile of "stuff") into the dining room to replace an unattractive box of craft stuff. This is waiting for "someone" to go through it and sort it out. It has now gone into the RoD to join its many friends. I have so much craft that I can't bear to get rid of, just in case. But why didn't I think of doing this before? :wall: It looks so much better.
I keep trying to find better ways of arranging my storage boxes so that the stuff I really want is always easy to get to. As I was putting the decorations away in the under-the-eaves loft I realised that I ought to bring the crafty things forward (because I delve into them 3 or 4 times a year) and push the decs to the back (only needed once). Yay!

You sound much more like yourself, Ionafan. Good-oh. Massive list as usual, I see. All back to normal then.
:rotfl: Yes thank you, DH is improving slowly and still in a good mood, so I am feeling much better. Also I got some fresh air yesterday and today - hospitals are so stuffy.

Progress is being made with the list:
[STRIKE]- check bank accounts and emails
    - take DH to dentist for his 08.30 appointment
    - have breakfast later (not much later than usual!) - I've already started soaking the porridge oats[/STRIKE]
    - WMx1 Found I hadn't got a full load after all
    - fly in LR as per Monday's list I have dusted everywhere
    - also fly in kitchen, DR, downstairs bedroomsee note above [STRIKE]and ensuite[/STRIKE] (saving bathroom and bedrooms for tomorrow) Unfortunately my shoulder is very painful atm (arthritis + torn tendon) so I can't hoover because I can't push my arm forwards and backwards, and after his little outing DH didn't have the energy to do it either (though he did offer earlier) :(
    - plant at least one of my 3 amaryllis All planted, also I have potted up the 20 bare-root perennials that I got via a :money: offer - they arrived while DH was in in hospital :o
    - water the apple tree Too cold - it's going down to minus figures overnight
    - update church Gift Aid accounts
    - copy relevant pages of library books which I got from college yesterday
    - sort and file college papers from first half of module.

I have also decluttered a few zzz's on the sofa ;)

Will spend a couple of hours in my "office" after tea and then finish the day in Venice with Alexander Armstrong - fascinating programme on Naples last week.

Has anyone heard anything from Dustykitten lately? I know life was dealing her big sour lemons a while back; I was thinking about her last night..

We exchanged 'Happy Christmas' texts but she didn't go into any detail.

Hope all are well and hugs and spoons to those in need xx
  • I'm still here. Not getting much of a chance to come on here but I am still trying to catch up with the lists. I like doing stuff in the early mornings but 3 mornings a week I am doing a 5 mile walk before work so trying to squeeze 5 days flying into 2 mornings and the weekend.
