Just having a :coffee: after work and catching up on the thread. Hugs to poorlies and to others having difficult days. Well done Iona on your assignment.
It seems to have been torrential rain nearly all day here, and pretty much dark all day as well.
Not too much flying achieved so far today: WM on, HHI done, bins emptied and recycling put out ready for tomorrow's collection. The lounge isn't looking too bad, so I might just see if I can tick something off the list before cooking dinner. Off I go.....

Iona what a mixed day for you. No wonder you were so annoyed after this morning - what a waste of time. Really pleased you got a good result from college though, that's great news.

Dizzy hope your dog is OK love, it's so horrid when they are ill. Let's hope that the meds work for him, sending posivibes.

Hugs to all poorlies of which there seem quite a few. Z has a cold and I am feeling like I have sore eyes and could be on the verge of something so need to make sure I get some early nights and take care of myself.

Washed up after dinner, WM done and hanging up, ironing done but not a lot else as was in town all morning at the Health Clinic - J treated me to lunch after so that was nice. Got my first job in for new client this evening so will have a go at that once S in bed. Also got some other paid stuff to do; I'll probably do it tonight in case tomorrow is busy.

  • Arggggggggggh where have I been? Not been on here for days!!!!!!

Thanks for the list Valli, I'm trying to be amazing this week.

Hope your OH is OK Iona, and take care of yourself too x

jazee glad you went to get it checked out, take it easy.

    Hugs to Dizzyxx

Long day at the paid stuff today. I did get some bills paid and banking done at lunchtime.

I'm just doing the rest of the daily stuff now before I get the children off to bed. Then I may just have and early night, I have a cold or something trying to surface. I refuse to let it, no time to be ill!

Evening all. Sorry to hear about your hospital woes Iona, and your poor dog Dizzy.

    I've had a fairly productive day. Worked today but it's quite quiet on Mondays so mangaged to do;

    Walk first thing this morning
Cleared out 2 drawers in kitchen
Cleaned dish drainer and put under sink
    Washed up a few times
30 mins decluttering in bedroom (but it still looks awful!)
Level 1 on list and a bit of level 2
Daily clean of 3 bathrooms, kitchen plus hoovering when work finished.
    2 loads of washing

Waiting for DH and DSs to get home from swimming whilst watching a bit of tv.
Planning to mop kitchen floor later and might do 15 mins more in bedroom (sewing area)

Well...who would have thought that the living room light fittings would get so dusty :o I'm not entirely sure why I decided to pick that off the list to do, as I can't remember the last time I did it! Anyway, I dewebbed and dusted the lounge and rehoused some bits. Dinner done, WUDUPA, kitchen floor swept and tomorrow's pack ups done. Have 7 (!!) birthdays this month, so thank you Valli for the reminder. I'm going to spend half and hour rummaging through a file of knitting patterns that I've found. Have good evenings all.

    Hopefully we are completely de-christmassed!
Took some persuading that Santa needed to go away now but done!
Open the window even if only for five minutes
    Empty the bin
Too cold! No bin, make everyone go out to the kitchen with rubbish
Give the sofas and seats the once over - leather wipe or a just-damp cloth to move any marks
Lift and swap cushions and seat pads - vacuum underneath before replacing any
    Tick
Rinse and squeeze out the cloth and wipe sockets, switches and door handles
    Plus the stairgates.

Also emptied and cleaned the hirecar we've had while ours was fixed ready for it to be collected in the morning, kids are messy and leave stuff everywhere!
