atb would you like to join me in the lurgy corner? We could swap cold remedies. Any other takers? I seriously thought my throat was closing up in the middle of the night, DH said I was making some very strange noises.
Soooo, paid stuff no. 1 done, went to the shops (essentials only), walked the dog, tidied the kitchen, washed out the bin, hoovered and mopped the floor, hoovered, decobwebbed and dusted the LR.
You know when the laundry basket is full but there is just 1 fluffy white jumper and 1 black one, 2 pair of jeans, 1 sweatshirt, some white shirts and various other odds and ends. I tipped it all out and tried to work out how to make a load. Decided to strip DS2s bed so know I have to make that back up.
I need to do more work but I may just carry on now and sort DSs bed, make a pie for tea and do my work later.0 -
I have just found out that I have passed my first college assignment with more leeway than I could ever have hoped for
Well done you! And we have had problems in the past when DS1s test results have shown that things are reasonably settled but he has actually felt unwell. One of my gripes with some doctors is that they rely on what the computer says rather than listening to the patient.
Right, I have things to do!!!0 -
Good Afternoon all.
I would like to join properly this week please. I did post a couple of times in last weeks thread but followed my own lists rather than those here. I am going to try and incorporate more from here from no on.
I'll position myself in the poorly corner though as i have been suffering from the nasty cold for nearly a month now and whilst better than i was, I'm still not feeling great.
Today however I don't expect to do much. I'm exhausted after another poor nights sleep and long day. I have done one WM load and emptied the bin and other daily stuff. I tend to declutter everywhere every day. I hate clutter and only live in a small flat so needs must.
My windows desperately need cleaning but I certainly can't face doing that today, or anything much at all really.
Ionafan congrats on your assignment.'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought
And I ain't got the power anymore'0 -
Iona ..what an up and down sort of day, really sorry about all that wasted time and upset, but congrats on the college assignment. Btw is your user name after the very frugal pensioner lady Iona?
Honeybear you should change your name to Honeybee..you busy thing! Well done you enjoy a cup of tea!

Snap! He gets referred to as a one-hit wonder, but does nobody else remember 'one more frozen orange juice'? Just me then.
So far today:
- done Clubbercise
- decluttered a C0sta while Mr N took his mum into housing office and filled in a whole forest worth of paperwork.
- Nearly strangled her for a snide comment as we were on the way to collect HER dry cleaning that I had dropped off, then go to try flat keys etc so I can let in HER carpet fitter on MY day off on Fri. OK rant over. Trying to keep telling myself that she's old, doesn't want to move, hates being ever-more reliant on us to do things etc etc. But sometimes it just hurts to be told it's none of my business when Mr N and I (who let's face it have been together 40yrs so I'm not exactly an interloper) are breaking our necks rushing around organising gas, electric, new white goods, carpets, phone etc etc. It is so tempting to say that if it is none of my business I won't bother. Ok rant really over now, sorry. I'll be old one day and won't have kids to do this to.

Afternoon all. Not a great day here so far. BoyDog had four seizures yesterday, including one at half three this morning, so an emergency appointment at the vets first thing. I'd got myself so worked up that they'd suggest putting him to sleep that I managed to have a shouting match with DH, then a crying session and then a bank emptying event to pay for the new drugs at the vets. Mutley has to have some tests tomorrow, to rule out possible causes, but obviously I'm thinking brain tumour. Feeling sad.
I have torn apart, sorted and reinstated the bathroom cabinets and found enough unused toiletries to last for weeks. I'm determined to use up stuff before buying more. Currently waiting for Small at Karate club then back home to cook a gammon dinner and tackle the ironing...again...
Sorry to hear about your wasted time at the hospital this morning Iona, but congratulations on passing your essay
Get well all poorly peeps - sending virtual Lemsips xxx0 -

Bah! One of these days I shall just glug up all my Oramorph and that'll be an end to the problem once and for all.
Dizzy I'll light a candle for Mutley tonight - all my hopes that the vet can help him. xIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon all. I've had a quick skim read and note that Iona needs congrats for her essay and that some of you need healing vibes for various ailments. Also, keeping my finger's crossed that all is ok with Dizzy's dog.
I went to hosp today, nothing broken thank goodness, so I'll just have to be patient and hobble round on the crutches while I heal.
So no flying done today, just paid stuff. Will try harder tomorrow.
Have a great evening everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0
