Picking battles is so much more sensible. I hate football with a passion and my work is really into sport and sponsorship...I struggle not to switch off with any of it.Purple spiky hair would be very anime 😁..why be boring! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

When my grand daughter was a teenager her hair was adifferent colour every time I saw her. As I now havent seen her for over a year it could be any colour.

@ladyholly I hope you get to see her soon.
When I was growing up all old ladies had a purple rinse! Remember Mrs Slocombe from Are You Being Served? 😂Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again0 -

No way!!
My Mum used to wear those rain hoods. I now realise it's because like me she had curly hair and didn't want to be a complete frizzy mess.Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again0 -
Do you remember when all the grandmas wore pinnies and all seemed to have those blue raincoats. When I was little it was like their uniform 😬 ..oh and a sensible Margaret Thatcher style handbag! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Morning,
Towels are in the washing machine and will be like cardboard after being line-dried today. 😂 One of them has shades of purple from the 15's hair so I hope that washes out. 15 was doing some labouring with his friend yesterday and managed to get himself burnt to a crisp. I asked him why he didn't have suncream on and he said he didn't want to spend his money 🤦♀️ I pointed out I would have given him the money. Hopefully he will learn from this pain.
Yesterday I ordered the kids a cushion each with pictures of the dog on. Ordered from Etsy so I went onto TCB. I have £92 payable. Think I might cash it out and re-invest in the premium bonds. I'm hooked! lol Having said that, need to get 15 a camp bed for his working away. I did ask friends that camp if they had any but none do 😕 so may use it for that.
Work is busy as ever. I'm just trying not to stress about it and just do what I can do.

The cushions are a really nice thought, I’m sure they’ll love them. You’re doing well with Topcashback! I never have the discipline to wait, as soon as I reach the £5 threshold it’s always whisked away into a savings pot!1

I'm sure they will too. Something to hold with his little face on 💙
I usually like to build up the tcb and quidco for Christmas but realise I have little bits of money all over what with my £2 tin and we have a spare change bottle plus my bank account rounding that I should do something with it.Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again0 -
One cushion arrived. With one picture for the 11yo and one I chose for 15's cushion 🤦♀️ I have messaged them but they haven't replied yet. Not great customer service. I like to order from Etsy to support small businesses but must say I've not always had great experiences. I did get a wonderful draught excluder from there last winter though.
15yo has started working in the coffee hut. I call it the bullet as it's one of those old American silver caravan type things. Just realised I've said 15yo but he's 16 now!!! His birthday was Tuesday. We had a lovely (but spendy) day as we took him to Wagamama's for lunch, picked up his birthday cake and then went to the Grandparents for a BBQ.
I've ordered him a camp bed and a self inflating mattress and bought a trio of lights - lamp, headtorch and torch for his working trip. I'm wondering what to do about clothes. He's away for 10 days and tbh he probably wont take 10 days worth of clothes but we've never done camping so not sure about getting clean undies etc...
Yesterday I had the most expensive bunch of bananas delivered from Tesco 😄 I book my delivery slots a few weeks in advance and hold them with one or two items. Bananas in this case. I forgot to update so got charged the £4 for minimum delivery cost and 69p for the banana's! 😂
Nothing planned for this weekend apart from housework on Saturday and lunch with my work colleagues on Sunday. We arranged it and I forgot it was Father's Day 🤦♀️
Hope everyone is ok and coping with the heat? The weather has been unbearable at night, I look like a zombie at the moment from lack of sleep.
