Yikes dizzy what a day, eh?

Well, I scrubbed 3x sinks and loos but no bath or shower. I'll do those next time in in them ;)

I then got all my clothes out in the spare room, including holidays stuff, stuff that doesn't fit etc. The only thinks left were ski trousers, swimmies and undies. I'm getting rid of 40% of them.

There's hardly anything in my wardrobe now, but I do have a box of "doesn't quite fit" and a box of "gawd you really need to lose weight" :o although these are much edited, they are still things I really like.

Tonight we did gymnastics then football, then piggie clean-out then bed. Well, cuppa for me. DW probably wants emptying.

Early night for me, I think xx

loudmouth £30 for threading  you must live in a expensive area of the country, or do you mean the total spend will be that much by the time you have got her everything else she wants as well.

Jazee , karcher, YORKSHIRELASS I feel for you all I know whats its like to have an awful boss. I am very lucky in my current job I have a lovey boss it makes such a difference.

bossymoo I can't bring myself to get rid of my 'can't get into' clothes as one day I live in hope I will be able to get into them :( of course by the time that comes they will be way out of fashion (not that I follow the fashions)

Update on my clothes dryer via dehumidifier
It has been going for nearly 3 hours (plus one hour earlier before I went out) some clothes are dry others no where near. I need to learn to load the airer more efficiently. I am on a prepay meter and the cost for the 3 hours worked out as 37p (obviously not all on the dehumidifier as I had other things running, but not much).

Is anyone on a pre-pay meter who using a tumble drier? would you be able to check and let us know how much that costs for a load for us to do a very rough comparison.

Haven't stuck to the flylady list at all but...
Husband has been in charge of sorting the garage - we've got so much clutter in there (including 3 wardrobes!!). Several tip runs have been made. I've avoided it as if I don't know it's there, I can't miss it when it's gone. The one time I did venture out I 'rescued' a container of otter spraints that I've had for 10 years (don't ask :o )
I've cleared out my bedside unit and filled a single cardboard box with 'memory' stuff from the attic that I'm keeping. When you're someone who is still hanging on to secondary school books from 25 years ago and every university note you've ever written, 3 copies of your Masters thesis (why would I need 3?!) as well as birthday cards, pictures, letters, notes etc, this is not an easy thing. Was actually pretty painful - and discovered that my eldest daughter's very first painting (age about 9month) has disappeared. Was genuinely upset about that. I'm a sentimental idiot! That seemed to take most of the day.

More bin bags of clothes filled and have started bagging up baby clothes to donate. Have told husband no more babies for me but then holding those teeny outfits....well ;)

Have to remember teeny babies turn into exhausting toddlers ;)

Going to attempt some paid work now. I've been avoiding the phone today as a client is chasing and I can only handle a certain amount of things before it all gets to much for me.

Oh dear Dizzy, what a carp day you've had! Tomorrow has to be better :)

Iammumtoone sorry but I can't help you re tumble dryer question as don't have one - have to make do with a wooden midden above the stairs.

Sorry to hear of those of you who have horrid bosses - I have to say I am one of the lucky ones - I'm self employed and each of my 3 bosses is lovely. I have heard some horror stories though about those less fortunate

ATB how have you been able to magic it that your children are asking to go to bed?!! Mind you mine are older at 10 and 14 and it's now getting to the stage where I want to go to bed before the 14 year old! Hope you had a lovely time with your friend this evening.

Jazee sorry you had a bad day too and that your ankle is giving you jip - when are you going to get it looked at? Been almost a week now .... I'm not a nurse but maybe you should get it checked out if resting hasn't done a lot. Just a thought.

Loudmouth is threading really £30? Sounds really expensive but saying that I've never had it done so no idea ;). Bless DD going so red chatting to the boys; so sweet!

Been doing paid stuff most of the day and only really vacuumed but feel still been productive. Got a GP appointment at 9 tomorrow and Pilates at 11.30 in a bid to try to get rid of this wobbly muffin that has appeared around my waist! Glad it's the kids room tomorrow as Z's room is really :eek::eek: and desperate for attention - I've tried leaving it to her but all to no avail so I'll be going in there ..... and showing no mercy.

Off to bed now, night all x

Hope things are well Iona you aren't posting as regularly and I worry about you.
Thank you for your concern. Today has been a day from hell. I took DH back to the GP for his follow-up appointment to see if the ABs and Furosemide had helped. She thought he was no better (I agreed with her) and was of the opinion that he is now suffering from heart failure, so arranged for him to be admitted to horse piddle. We arrived there at about 12.15 and finally got sent home at 9.30 pm as the horse piddle is full. Within that time he had a blood test, chest xray, and 3 meetings with doctors, and was told to take an extra water tablet tomorrow. He has to go back for a CT scan of his chest and another echocardiogram as soon as they can be arranged - maybe tomorrow or next week, and probably not both on the same day.

I am so tired and frustrated that I could scream. I had to cancel my monthly meeting with my supervisor at very short notice. I have a short college assignment which is supposed to be done by tomorrow, but now I shall not start be able to start it until the morning, and also I still have to write my piece for church. AAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!

The one good thing that I have managed to do today is hoover and steam mop the main downstairs rooms.
I start my new job as well today so that should be fun.
I hope you had a lovely day :D

Dizzy, surely it can't get worse than that!

LOL! Noooo it is £5 to have eye brows threading but by the time she has finished with me it will be £30 if I have got of lightly! Maybe I should tell her ok to eye brows threaded cos god forbid she goes back to school with her eyebrows touching her toes but then say no add ons, such as mascara ,lipgloss etc!

Iona just wanted to say I'm thinking of you and DH; good that they're running lots of tests etc but a worrying time for both of you. Sending hugs x

Got to do Z's packed lunch then will get some washing going. Did a shopping list last night for L*dl - will pop in there when I go to GP at 9 this morning plus need to pick up something from MandS. Hope S will be OK; he likes it when I take him to school (apparently I don't talk about boring stuff lol!).

    Thinking of you Iona. X

Glad S is feeling more confident about school, Mumof2.

DW emptied, WM loaded for later. DD dragged from bed for school. Am going to TRY to mop the kitchen floor before going off to the paid stuff. Wish me luck. It promises to be one of those days when I might just meet myself coming back in the opposite direction....!

Good days to all, and ((hugs)) to those that need them.
  • Good Morning All :)

Iona - sending you the biggest of hugs my lovely. You are in my thoughts xx
MrsMP - Hope yesterday went well xx
Jazee - I hope today is better - horrid bosses are just the pits. I can't understand why some people feel it's okay to behave in such a way xx
Mumof2 - good luck in Z's room! My kids are only small (DD is 4 and DS is almost 3). DD is in Reception so she is exhausted by school. DS still has phases of thinking sleep is for wimps in the night, but I make sure he gets loads of physical activity during the day so he is always very ready to go to bed, even if he isn't always a fan of staying there!

DS seems to have developed a heavy cold so we were up a lot in the night. Gave in at 5am and got up. I was meant to be doing some volunteering this morning (with DS in tow) but the new, sticking up for herself ATB has just sent an apologetic text - neither of us are up for much today, he needs to snuggle on the sofa with his blanket and rest. I am so tired I wouldn't be able to concentrate properly. So it's an at home day with some gentle flying.

Have lovely days all, back later xx
