Are you alright in there Dizzy? :)

Thanks for checking up on me lol...some considerable time spent sorting, ironing and flinging (mainly old make-up) but TBH I need a whole week to go through everything. I've decided to be ruthless and chuck out/give away/re-home much of my [STRIKE]clutter[/STRIKE] precious things. I dont wear a lot of my clothes and shoes anymore as I'm now a SAHM (and no, I don't offer free childcare!), so office wear and heeled shoes are just taking up space. It pains me when I think of what it all cost, but I'm never going to wear it again. *ahem* even if I could squeeze into it...

(I also have about 200 bottles of nail varnish that have probably gone all gunky over time )

Currently slothing on the sofa with a cat making bread on my legs, with football on the TV and DH glued to the screen. Might pop and have a bubble bath, while I injest the new coffee machine manual (not literally - that would be silly :rotfl:)

Evening all - lovely to see this thread so busy :D Unfortunately, I don't have much flying to add to your hard work but I have done one load of washing!
So answer to your question is about 40 years. It is very relaxing and you can sort of zone out into your stitching and just stop thinking bout anything other than the stitch count and the picture building in your hands. I'd recommend it but I'd say start with a small simple piece if you've not done counted cross stitch before.

I second this - cross stitching is sooo relaxing but, be warned, you can lose hours at a time :p I been stitching for over 20 years and have so many pieces I want to do. I need to decide on a bigger piece to start, I think.

Bleurrgh - keep sneezing! Better not have another cold courtesy of one of the little darlings!!

Not much flying here today BUT you have guilted me in planning an underwear buying trip this weekend!!! Plans for tomorrow include hoovering upstairs and taking car to garage - lots of lights playing up. The big test for my flying will be on my return to work next week EEEEEK!

Have only managed to make beds and clear floordrobe in both girls rooms. I'm hoping that my weekend hours cleaning will mean I can vacuum all rooms.x

Had a lovely time with my friend this morning but didn't get back until lunch time - was great to see her plus she has some gorgeous puppies who I just had to snuggle with! Had lunch and then worked from the list in our room; done most of it so that's good. Then off to school to get S and since then been working.

Dizzy I got rid of lots of office type clothes after it became clear I'd be a SAHM; I can type in my PJs if I choose to (not that I do!) so of course don't need smart clothes which take up room. Well done on having a good sort out.

LW well done on sorting out new DVD player!

Off to bed now; let's hope for a better night's sleep. Walking with a dear friend tomorrow first thing then working all day but will fly too. Night all x

    Good Morning All :)

Up at silly o'clock with a sneezing DS who wanted a tissue and I couldn't get back to sleep even though he did.

We will be walking to school this morning as the forecast is glorious but chilly. Then home for a long dog walk before cracking on with the paid stuff. Got a friend coming for tea tonight so must christen dinner - it will be something from the freezer as I am determined to keep up with mindful spending!

    Have lovely days all x

Morning all. Good luck with the new job Mrs MP.

I've been catching up with Tuesday's HSL jobs this morning. About to wash the dishes then make a start on the paid stuff.
