I have brought professional cleaning products for this purpose!
I distrust conventional domestic ones.
Anyone else do the same??! Xx0 -
Did some paid stuff this afternoon, and walked the school run rather than driving :A
Kiddies have had tea, and I've cleaned the work tops, cleaned out the bin and the fridge, and washed the bedding from the spare room. We are all having some quiet time now.
DD brought home yet another new reading book, I'm so proud of how her reading is coming on - to say she's only been in school for 4 months, it's quite amazing.
Have lovely evenings all xxMFW

Finally mopped lol forced by a free range piggie puddle. Still they had a roam and some nibbled.
Everyone is fed and we are heading upstairs - DD wants to do some colouring and we'll read too. I'll make some milk first I think...Bossymoo

Evening all.
Before work this morning I did a load of washing, hung it out, did the usual kitchen stuff and put recently washed and dried throw on the sofa.
Since work I've had an emergency drain unblocking to do which was rather unpleasant.
Just showered and got my feet up on the sofa catching up with some admin I had been putting off.
ETA: Oh and whilst doing a bit of tidying in my bedroom, I found my fave ring which had been missing since NYE'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought
And I ain't got the power anymore'0 -
Does anyone dry washing using a dehumidifier?
I found one recently at a charity shop :j I have hung washing in kitchen, shut doors and turned it on.
How long do I need to run it for? I can't leave the kitchen doors shut all evening as I need to go in there!0 -
Are you alright in there Dizzy?
atb being good at reading is such a help at school, DS2 learned to read early and was always ahead of his reading age.
Paid stuff no. 1, home to tidy around, dog walked and on to paid stuff no. 2. Have volunteered to pick DS1 up from celebrating a friends birthday, however his idea of "not too late" is different to mine. Sort of wishing I hadnt agreed to this now, I am usually in bed at 10pm.
Bin night so I have been through the fridge and chucked out a few leftovers but there wasnt much which is good. Gym class next then a bit more paid stuff.0 -

You dont have to keep the doors shut, they just work better if you do - and in any case it's much better for your house then having all that damp air circulating around. We have a tiny home office and I leave washing in there overnight with the door shut and the dehumidifier on. Light things will be dry in 12 hours or so - things like jeans might need longer.0 -

Thanks I am scared about leaving things on/running overnight or whilst I am not in the house, our electrics are really old and it worries me.
Still I will keep it running when I am around its got to help and be better than nothing. I have a really small room where the washing machine is I wasn't sure if the airier and dehumidifier would fit, I will try that first for the next load.0 -
Well...huge, belated but huge, rude raspberries to your SiL ATB. What a cheeky mare! Good for you for saying no. Honestly, some people!I have a huge spot on my chin. Too much chocolate. DH bought me a mind body and spirit magazine, only cos it was 99p ! Got a free rose quartz with it. I love crystals. So am going to have a cup of tea and read that until the house empty a bit at 12.30.
I too love crystals - I have a huge piece of rose quartz on my desk, because I have such awful self-esteem issues; and lately I've been wearing a lot of haematite.
Flying sort of didn't happen today - well, it did, but not as planned. Our old (2nd hand) DVD player has finally turned up it's toes, so Mr LW got a new one from R.Goss- cue Wolfy putting on her Mrs Fixit hat, removing the old one from it's place (you should see the spaghetti junction of wires behind the cupboard housing the tv and all the peripherals) and getting the new one into position. It needed someone with long arms and small hands - ie me. Hinky shoulder notwithstanding.
Because it's so much smaller than the old one, we've had to swap the DVD and VHS players round (one stands on top of t'other) and of course I had to do a "spring clean" of the cupboard while I was at it.
It took an age, as it's an awkward angle to work at, but we didn't want all the faff of taking my desk and the tv cupboard all out from the wall (that'd have taken all day and at least three arguments) but we finally got there. And I'm pleased to say it works! :TIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
