Morning all! When I went into the kitchen and saw my lovely clean kitchen window and window ledge, I realised what a blessing this thread is to me already! Just hope I can keep it up!
load of washing done
Bookcase in living room sorted a little
Toys in playroom sorted a little
Don't think there will be much time to do anything else major today apart from give downstairs a quick once over at the end of the day. It's my gym evening tonight so looking forward to that!:jOct grocery budget £368.40 / 6000 -
Good luck Mrs-MP
Very cold here so had shower and then got my long sleeved thermal top and leggings on as walking Whiz with a friend .... Whiz will have his 2 coats on! S is much more relaxed now about school so big relief all round.
Unloaded the DW and just about to hang some washing up before I go out and hopefully get another load in too. Paid stuff when I get back and will fly too.
Catch you later!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Good morning fly ladies,
lameWolf, how long have you had lupus? I don't know much about it,but will google it. Is this how you got your name ? Lupus means wolf does it not?
Just catching up on the last days chores, I can't really go with gusto until I have the house to myself next week but am making progress. DH is off today and taking me out for a meal out,,so no cooking for me! Also unless making first payment off my park hampers counts ,I still have not spent any money since Christmas Eve. I have a feeling my purse will be opened today.0 -
Morning everyone. Got up late this morning and went to bed early last night hence why today's list has only just gone up..
Need to get showered and dressed then a quick 10 minute tidy up as the cleaner is coming in just over an hour, I can't wait as she hasn't been for a fortnight and you can tell, especially as I am out three days a week, then recovering the two days I am home. Why do we do that when we have a cleaner, tidy up before they arrive..kind of makes having them weird!!! Will be taking down the decorations while she is here so at least I am going to be productiveOoh that reminds me must change the cat tray in a minute.. I forgot to do it last night and consequently missed the green bin men today
That will teach me for going to bed early...lol
To those that were talking about cross stitch, I do that and absolutely love it. Have been doing it now for 20 years and have progressed from the English magazines to the American cross stitch magazines and designs as I much prefer them to our styles. Not sure why but I feel they are much better and more detailed
Ok off to have my shower and then quick tidy upMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Lovely walk decluttered; then got back to the news I have a new client to work for and he does more regular work so I won't be all or nothing like it has been of late. J has an interview next Tuesday so let's hope things work out and money won't be quite so much of an issue as it has been since May.
Going to hang up the washing now as didn't get to do it before school run and want to quickly vacuum again. Need to do some ironing too.
Natty I'd mentioned about cross stitch; it's something I'd like to try but I do have RSI in my hands so think for me holding the needle would hurt - I've had to give up knitting for this reason. I'm enjoying sewing at the moment and making a pair of PJs; best to start with simple things that no-one apart from family is going to see!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Morning!
For once, my desk is actually clean and tidy. So I'll have a quick whizz round the bathrooms but today I really want to focus on sorting my clothes. Then this afternoon I have some reading to do.
Tonight we have gymnastics then football, and hopefully popping to my friends for a quick signing of passport photos. I'd like to get it all posted off tomorrow... So it will be a busy evening and I have organised a picnic for us while we are out. DS friends mum has said she'd bring him home from football which is a great help.
Just having a coffee to get me revved up then I'll be on my way.
Oh, I climbed up and replaced two lightbulbs in the conservatory roof - think I need to swap the others as well - they are different bloomin colours!Bossymoo

Busy putting things where they should be, like in the attic and from the attic to my lovely new shelves in the cupboard under the front steps. Bedding airing for guests on the sundeck and today will be getting ready to have them to stay for OH's birthday, which means because we've got two lodgers moving out of our own room. Frantic bed-shifting and vacuuming under it will have to take place. I will also do dusting where there aren't any cards so that's off the list of Must Do Today things. And come up with a shopping list for the dinner on Saturday, but it would be helpful if I knew there were going to be eight or twelve.Better is good enough.0

Hope the job goes well MrsMP.
I'm just decluttering a :coffee: after doing a bit in the garden; lovely sun but frost still quite thick.
- chopped back sedum and Michaelmas daisies which have been looking naff for a while in the front garden.
- sowed sweet peas in the greenhouse
- filled bird feeders and put hot water in the bird bath to melt the ice
- emptied and put away contents of DW
-checked emails and sorted student timetable for next week.
Glad bathroom and study are today's list, latter is a mess as I've had/got so many reports lately that the paper piles are out of hand. Plus ran out of time to do en suite when I did bedroom yesterday.
But now I need to crack on with those reports.......oops haven't 'improved' each room I've walked through today; will keep that up now I've remembered.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Basically, my power animal is Wolf, and I can't walk without the aid of sticks, hence LameWolf.
So getting told I had something called lupus was just unbearable irony!
Potted version of how it affects me - think RA (as detailed above) crossed with ME and some pretty 'orrible digestive issues thrown in for good measure.
This is also why you'll see references to "spoons" quite often on this thread - this item explains it better than I can:

I finally have my morphine prescription! :T Been into town to get it filled, and we decided to swing by @ldi on the way back, to save a task tomorrow.
Mr LW is wielding a duster in the hallway as I type. :A
Pizza (HM) for dins tonight - I switched the meal plan round as I needed to make bread today, doing the pizza base first means not having the bread machine down again tomorrow. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

I seem to moving very slowly this week but I think I'm gradually getting my **se back into gear. Yesterday Mr N came home from work, went into the bedroom and said "Gosh you've been flying" so at least the little I do gets noticed (probably because it is such a rare occurrence these days).Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0
