Thought i'd post quickly before my working day starts. Managed to get up again early for my walk so feeling quite good! Have quickly done 2 bathrooms (sinks, toilets) - boys one was revolting. Not sure I'll manage to do much in bedroom so might leave that for Friday (day off). Realised however that upstairs is disgustingly dirty and messy - routines all went to pot over Christmas and there are things everywhere. Think I might have to de junk before I can clean!

    Have a good day everyone!i

    So managed to;
Swish and swipe 3 bathrooms (dh did downstairs)
Hoover downstairs after children gone home
Cleared kitchen up lots of times
Cleaned kitchen window ledge, decluttered and de cobwebbed.
    Cleaned kitchen window

Marvellous! bedroom will have to wait for Friday

Mumof2 We were taugh domestic science and needlework at school so I was lucky enough to have been taught my way round a dress pattern and a piece of Adia fabric. Maybe at the time I didn't appreciate it but I've had so many hours of pleasure stitching when I became a grown up. So answer to your question is about 40 years. It is very relaxing and you can sort of zone out into your stitching and just stop thinking bout anything other than the stitch count and the picture building in your hands. I'd recommend it but I'd say start with a small simple piece if you've not done counted cross stitch before.

Morning everyone hugs good wishes and positive/coping vibes to all.

Busy all day today so I'll catch up later. X

Hello me again. All bedroom jobs done including sorting out jewellery shelf. I was shown a photo of me at the weekend wearing a lovely watch, but do you think I can find it? Can't do the hoovering as the filters are still damp from yesterday.

Mumof2 - I fell into a pot hole on Friday night. Just resting really as I'm stubborn and won't get it checked it.....yet.

Going to make a cuppa now and get cracking on the paid stuff.

    Morning!

I'd not heard of these universal keys, but my car was rifled through a month or so ago. I'm particular about locking, so was really baffled there was no damage. I don't leave anything but pocket change and baby wipes in my glove compartment so they only got away with a couple of quid. But the family in the corner had one car stolen after the other was emptied of anything valuable. Robbing gits. Hearing of loads around here lately.

Anyway, onwards and upwards. Back to college today, so I'll make a coffee-to-go and get myself off. Feels strange to be going back.

My bedroom is tidy and I dusted a couple of days ago, so will vac later and check out the list when I'm back.

Have a nice day everyone xx

Just back in from a nice walk with J and Whiz; lovely to be out and able to walk quickly without having to keep plodding along for the kids! Off for a coffee with my friend shortly but will put a load in WM first.

Narco what sort of dancing are you and Mr N doing?

Latin and Ballroom. I love practically any sort of dance, although I'm seriously uncoordinated. I did a bit of ballroom many years ago at school, and get the chance to do it once a year when Mum and I go away on hols. Mr N, despite being more athletic than me, has been a fairly typical man who doesn't dance - but in a rash moment last year said he would give it a go if I found a class. Bless him, he was convinced I wouldn't find one. But I did, a lovely friendly group more like a club, very low key. We started in about Oct and he has just bought himself some proper shoes, yee ha.

I have just remembered how well I got on last year with making the rule "every time you go into a room, you tidy one thing in it", so I have started that again.

Glad today is bedroom as that is a tip, was going to do it as a bit of light relief - gah - between writing reports.

  • Morning all,

Children dispatched to school (yay!), beds made, dog walked. I'm just having a quick brew, then I'm going to do a one hour challenge at 11.00am i.e. now if anyone fancies joining me!

Morning ! Got up late, DH not at work till this afternoon and teenage child just emerged from her den. Roll on Monday when I have taken total control of the house. I will attempt to do bedroom this afternoon ,I did the sheets last Saturday so they will be ok till next week.
I have a huge spot on my chin. Too much chocolate. DH bought me a mind body and spirit magazine, only cos it was 99p ! Got a free rose quartz with it. I love crystals. So am going to have a cup of tea and read that until the house empty a bit at 12.30.
  • Afternoon all :)

A much later check in from me than usual. We all slept in a little bit this morning so it was a mad rush to get out of the house. I then went straight to the dentist, dropped a load of stuff off at the charity shop and ran some errands.

I managed to spend nothing (other than the dentist bill) - I am trying to be very mindful of the 'small' spends this year, which seem to mount up and I am constantly left wondering where our money goes!

Home now with a cuppa and a sandwich. WM is on load number 2 and the house looks presentable. Off to crack on with some paid stuff now, back later xx
